The first pic is at Tromsø Kunstforening. This place really felt like home, like a living room where everyone somehow came together.

we meet here,
we talk here,
we read here,
we eat here,
we draw here,
we meditate here,
we dance here,
we sing here,
…

So grateful to have been part of Open Out Festival 2026. Such a beautiful community and so many lovely people 💟😍

Big thanks to the Open Out Festival team @openoutfestival and Tromsø Kunstforening @tromsokunstforening for having me and making me feel so welcome. And thank you to all the artists and musicians for the workshops, sharing your work and all the good times together.

And to all the new friends I met, thank you for all the little moments we shared throughout the week. So happy I got to spend this time with you all ✨💖

Hope to see you all again soon and keep dreaming together ✨💫✨🌙✨

our thanks to everyone who helped make this reality @truenorth2026 for being an excellent European Youth Capital, @tvibit for the practical organization, @ghenteyc for finding the funds, @openoutfestival for the opportunity to flaunt our queer selves and @tromsokunstforening for the space to make it all happen 🙏

We warmly invite you to our MASQUEERADE Zine Release Party with performance, art installations, ceramic campfire, mask-making workshop and more.

The opening and performance starts on Saturday at 18h00 at @tromsokunstforening.

**SOME MORE INFO ON THE PROJECT**
In line with Tromsø being the European Youth Capital of 2026, an exchange project was organised with Ghent, the European Youth Capital of 2024. 10 queer artists were chosen from each city for this program. The exchange consists of one week in Ghent and one in Tromsø, made possible by Alles Kan, True North 2026 and Tvibit.

During this shared time, 20 young international artists exchanged their practice, culture, food, fascinations, worries and dreams. The weeks were filled with sound engineering, drag make-up workshops combined with how to organize your artistic practice as a young queer artist in an institutionalized sector. They explored the city with a queer historian guide, laughed, cried, hiked the mountains and partied.

The project and its 20 artists is visiting Open Out Festival 2026, and would like to invite you to their masqueerade magazine launch party on the second floor of Hvilhaug. You are invited to witness the coming together of all their work, made within these two weeks of exchange, through which questions around safety and transformation flows. Working with 20 people for two weeks, the emphasis lay on taking care of each other and having room for everyone and their needs while being creative.

We donate the profit of our masqueerade magazine to Open Out Festival and their support of queer arts.
