I’m reading a wonderful book on my travels and today I was lucky enough to find the original madrasah set up in 2001 and still producing beautiful carpets. The First Lady we met was giddy when I told her I was reading the book and showed me her picture in it from 22 years ago. Then we met Madrim , one of the founders and had a lovely chat with him too. Obviously we then needed to make a purchase but the silk scarves were a LOT less than the carpets.
