The Women of the Chamber Luncheon brought local women together for an important conversation about health, aging and taking care of ourselves at every stage of life.

Guests heard from David Palmer, M.D., board-certified orthopedic surgeon with @optimorthopedics, who shared practical insight on bone health and the effects of hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause.

From understanding changes in bone density to lifestyle strategies that support strong bones, mobility and independence, Dr. Palmer offered valuable information women can put into practice today.

Optim Orthopedics is investing in the future of Georgia’s health. 🩺❤️

Optim became the first medical practice to establish a scholarship fund at the School of Medicine. Once fully funded, the Optim Orthopedics Scholarship Fund will provide full- and partial-tuition scholarships annually to students from communities served by the practice.

Donovan Mack, a Savannah native, was the inaugural recipient of the scholarship.

“This scholarship has reminded me that there are people and organizations in my community who believe in my potential and are willing to support the next generation of physicians.”

Our first College ID event was a success ✅

40 players were selected from over 100 applicants to compete in front of D1, D2, and NAIA schools. Several players received interest, and everyone in attendance gained valuable information on the college recruitment process.
