Team Stag & Bird.

To the surprise of many, this company isn't ran by six raccoons standing on top of each other in a trenchcoat.

It's time for proper introductions. Ahem ahem ::Let me clear my throat::

Bryant - Bryguy makes sure I can function. His job is anticipate what I need, before I need it at weddings and photo sessions. He is also the dude helping guests in and out at @electriclightstudioskc

Kalsie Jo - KJ here touches nearly every face we photograph. If you want your images to look stellar, don't rely on my crap photoshop skills, rely on Kalsie beating your face. The Queen of glam, you'll never leave with your shoulders unshimmered.

Lauren - Lo here can do everything I can do and maybe better. Without her, we wouldn't be able to service multiple clients in the same day - meaning she and I can both run teams at weddings hundred of miles apart simultaneously.

Austan - the motion magic man. We live to create stories and when our clients want that real time cinema, Austan comes ready. When booking video & photo together with us you are getting a well trained, in step team with stellar visuals.

Kendal - KBP has a sharp wit and lethal eye for capturing what no mere mortal sees. She's been there, done that, and already knows what happens next.

Stephanie - Steph comes across as quiet, almost demure. But moments after you get her taking you're aware of her brilliance. She's as talented with a paint brush as a camera and creative in short format video, too.

Sarah - THE Sarah BallSen started with the same roots as I, and with it, her action photography is unmatched by most and on par with motorsports work seen in advertising and national magazines.

Piper - unsurprisingly for a gal named Pipes, she yaps. Immediately you're at home in Piper's presence, making you feel welcomed. Talented, creative and driven, Piper will be one to watch over the coming years.

And me, Court. I'm the cagey, err, sage veteran and momma hen of this here chicken hut. I'm unbelievably lucky to be surrounded by talented, hardworking, kind and empathetic individuals like this crew. When you book me, you book us. And we love you for it. 🖤🤘⚡️

We are deeply honored — and honestly, a little overwhelmed — to share that Stag & Bird Photo has been named Best of Kansas City 2025 in Boudoir Photography, Engagement Photography, Wedding Photography, and Photography Business by @thepitchkc

That’s four incredible wins this year, officially marking us as a ten-time Best of KC winner and celebrating three consecutive years recognized across multiple categories.

To say we’re grateful doesn’t feel like enough.
Every vote, every kind word, every time you’ve shared our work or told a friend about us — that support has built the foundation of everything we do. Kansas City is full of unbelievably talented photographers, artists, and business owners who pour their hearts into their craft. To stand among them — to even be mentioned in the same sentence — is something we don’t take lightly.

We are endlessly thankful for the people who continue to choose us — for the couples who trust us with their love stories, for the seniors who show up ready to be themselves, for the clients who allow us to capture the bold, the weird, and the wildly beautiful.

⚡️Don’t ask me how I (we) did it, I (we) just did it - IT WAS HARD.⚡️

This was beyond unexpected- I didn’t think we had the juice this year to win any category, much less sweep all three — again.

Again.

Holy schnikes, you all did this. I did not promote or campaign for votes like in the past, I figured we were long lost to one of these other incredibly talented photographers in each category. They are also so deserving of accolades.

To our clients: YOU are the reason we have this again. YOU are the reason I stay up late and wake up early. YOU are the reason I come home screeching about how much I love my career, how I adore your stories, your joy for eachother. YOU celebrating yourselves and allowing this team and myself to capture it makes this life a dream. You never work a day in your life if you love what you do - and dammit, I love it all, and love you, too. Thanks for allowing us to third wheel on dates, play with light, put you in funky poses, laugh with us, cry with us, live your lives - with us.
