Traders at Wisconsin had a great time partnering with Optiver for a joint event this past week!

Our members had the opportunity to learn more about Optiver, hear about careers in quantitative trading, and put their decision-making skills to the test through an interactive trading game. A huge thank you to Jada Crespo and the Optiver team for taking the time to engage with our members and create such a fun and competitive experience.

Congratulations to Kiela King for coming out on top as our trading game winner, and a big shoutout to Pakin Phornphiboon and Auyona Ray for earning honorable mentions!

We’re grateful to Optiver for helping give our members firsthand exposure to quantitative trading and for continuing to support students interested in the industry. We look forward to continuing to build the relationship and hosting more events together in the future.

We’re incredibly grateful to have welcomed the @optiverglobal team to campus for an afternoon with our members!

The event gave our members the opportunity to learn more about quantitative trading, technology, and the people behind Optiver. Everyone also had a great time competing in Delta Dash, asking questions, and connecting with the team one-on-one.

We’re officially opening applications for 2026 Cornell Trading Competition hosted by Cornell Quant Fund! We’re excited to host this one-day, in-person event on Saturday, October 24, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (ET) at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island, New York City.

The competition is open to undergraduate & masters students, and will feature a mix of sponsor-hosted events, live trading games (including systematic equities, derivatives, and prediction markets cases), and a career fair hosted by recruiters and employees from our sponsors (with merch!) We’re proud to announce that Susquehanna International Group (https://www.linkedin.com/company/susquehanna-international-group/) and Jump Trading are our gold sponsors this year, hosting their own separate live events throughout the day. $12,000 total cash prizes will be awarded among the winners throughout the competition. Travel reimbursements will be available for non-local applicants as well.

Applications close Sunday, September 20 at 11:59 PM (ET) and decisions will be released by September 27 latest. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis so we encourage early application!
