🩷🩷🩷What a weekend celebrating 50 years of Michele🩷🩷

Michele and I became friends when we were 15 years old. We went from high school friends, to roommates for EIGHT years (which honestly deserves an award of its own 😂), to navigating careers, relationships, marriage, motherhood, growing families, growing older, and everything life has thrown at us in between.

Through every version of ourselves, the friendship has remained.

So spending this weekend celebrating Michele with good food, spa time, lots of laughs, reminiscing, and the kind of conversations that only happen between people who have known each other forever was incredibly special.

And now… the LAST of my BFF crew has officially joined the 50 Club! Welcome, Michele! We’ve been waiting for you!

Michele, I hope you know how loved you are and how grateful I am that life gave me a friend who became family. Here’s to 50 years of you, nearly 35 years of friendship, and God willing many, many more years of laughing until our stomachs hurt.

Somebody said Black-owned restaurants in Atlanta are trash

and @mikejordanatl pretty much responded, “Nah… you just got trash taste.” 😂

Then proceeded to highlight a whole list of gems across the city.

Perfect timing.

With this year marking 10 years of Black Restaurant Week in Atlanta

We had to finally check out @oreathasatthepoint

Created by award-winning Chef @chefdeborahvantrece and led by Executive Chef @chefdlucks

Oreatha’s has one of the most creative menus I’ve seen in Atlanta.

You can tell there’s real love, intention and thought behind every dish.

Chef Luck’s commitment to locally sourced ingredients also earned him recognition as a 2026 Georgia Grown Executive Chef during State Restaurant Day.

We tapped into the small plates + brunch specials:

Vegan Chicken Fried Cauliflower & Waffles

Croissant French Toast with a side of Farm-Raised Eggs

And yeah… we’ll definitely be back.
