🥀 🇨🇦 𝑺𝑷𝑰𝑹𝑰𝑻𝑩𝑶𝑿: "𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑫𝒐𝒐𝒓"
✧ 𝑺𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑼𝒑𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆 & 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑶𝒑𝒖𝒔

In phonaesthetics, an old linguistic myth claims that "cellar door" holds the most beautiful harmony in human speech. Yet behind that surface beauty, SPIRITBOX built a lethal trap.

Released via Rise Records and Pale Chord, "Cellar Door" stands as the most extreme monument on their EP "The Fear of Fear". A raw, psychological dissection of trauma capturing the exact moment you realize that your survival mechanism, the monotonous routine you built, has become your prison. To break free, you must turn the key into your own burial. You have to let your old identity die, tearing your own lungs out just to purge the agonizing pain of feeling.

There are no clean vocals to save you here. @courtneylaplante doesn’t sing... she unleashes predatory screams while downtuned guitars and industrial synths forge a suffocating horror atmosphere.

The loop is closed. The door is open. Are you ready to go to the depths?

𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒖𝒍𝒔𝒆: Followers on Reddit and forums were left in absolute shock. The band obliterated any fears of "softening up" by delivering pure, genre-free brutality. On YouTube, vocal coaches and producers were stunned by the control and sheer violence of Courtney’s screams during that devastating final breakdown. At the same time, heavy music fans are obsessing over the relentless drum performance, praising the technical precision and industrial rhythmic violence. Major zines immediately bowed down, calling it their most aggressive track since the legendary “Holy Roller,” while Orie McGinness’s dark, high-fashion music video perfectly sealed the nightmarish visual terror.

My new goddaughter Levi Grey was born and she’s a miracle. My godmother helped me pick out a piano and it appears I’ve been AOC curved, thankfully. We live in so many states of surveillance… perhaps the only option is to plant so many trees it all turns to one giant plantopicon, flock cameras blinded by the bloom. I’ve been told that I should talk to the camera more, but I also think there’s a reason why people forgot to build that tower to heaven you know? I think heaven is probably a state of mind but also maybe a place filled with dogwood trees. I was spinning in circles with my first goddaughter, Hazel, and thought I caught it for a second in the dizzy glow.
There are new sounds in progress between the occasion gig. At 3am this morning I was putting my car in reverse to see if a fawn knew the way back to the evergreen, but she probably found it difficult to talk to a car full of aliens. RIP Alien Boy aka Mr. Tree. Your light never goes out
