if I have owed you a text at any point in the last seven years (and especially the last seven months), I promise it was me not you 🙃 . Thank you to everyone who supported me from near and far as I got my MA and now Ph.D. in media and cultural studies from UW-Madison. As I finish writing my dissertation, defend it this summer, and prepare for what’s next (unknown at this time!), I’m grateful for the chance to celebrate what I’ve already accomplished and what is still to come. It does indeed take a village, and I’m proud to have built a life in Madison (and beyond) that’s entirely special and entirely mine. It wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it 💖 .
