POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
My first A&E shift in two months* was brutal.

And my 10th patient of the day reminded me why we’re building Orli.

30 degrees outside. Four-hour waits. One doctor off sick. Three nurses down. Five hospital-grade coffees deep.

Then I met a lady I’d noticed earlier in the waiting room.

Holding her head. Clearly in pain.

Doing everything she could to keep her two young children entertained.

We took a history and investigated:

No red flags. Nothing sinister.

But after a short conversation, it became clear what she was really carrying.

Single parent. Two children under ten. Work uncertain. Money uncertain.

The stress had built to the point where hospital felt like the only place left to go.

As she left, she thanked me.

Not for the medicine.

For the conversation.

That stuck with me.

She didn’t just need a doctor.

She needed to feel understood.

And so do her children, before life teaches them to carry those same feelings alone.

That’s what we’re building at Orli.

Not just for children but for the parents holding it all together too.

Connection earlier, way before the waiting room. 💚💜

*I’ve struggled to find time to work in A&E recently because Orli has completely taken over my life (in the best way).

Big announcement coming this week...*
