Icons are not inventions. They are apostolic memory in color, the faith of the Incarnation made visible. We venerate icons because God truly became man, was seen, touched, and depicted. To reject icons is not humility; it is a quiet denial of what Christ took upon Himself.

We do not worship wood and paint. We honor Christ, His Mother, and His saints, passing veneration to the Prototype, just as Christians have done since the earliest centuries.
The icons we venerate are older than your church, because the faith that produced them is unchanged.

As Orthodox Christians,
we give thanks to God for the land we live in,
pray for its people and leaders,
and seek the peace of the nation that shelters us.

We honour Australia by living quietly, working honestly, loving our neighbours and confessing Christ without fear.
We respect the laws of the land,
we pray for those in authority,
but we remember that no nation is our final home.

Our true citizenship is in the Kingdom of God.
Christ alone is King.

“Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to dwell, and pray to the Lord for it.” (Jeremiah 29:7)

May God bless Australia with peace, repentance, and humility.
