Pug-o’-Lantern 🐶🎃

Our previous attempts with local squash varieties proved difficult. Chanced on actual pumpkins and thought we’d give these a go. Of course, it had to be a pug!

Hope everyone is getting into the, erm, spirit of the season. 👻

⚡️ September 3–6 • SJJIF World Championship 2026 ⚡️

First and foremost, I want to thank my wife, @eirenejoanna, for everything—for supporting me, believing in me, and allowing me to continue pursuing this passion and competing at the highest level. I love you. ❤️

Thank you to my sponsors @ikirojj , @ikiro.asiaph, and @dietinabox, and to everyone in my team who supported me throughout the entire journey—from the preparation, to the final stages of my weight cut, and everything in between. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be here and represent on the world stage.

I did not come home with the black belt gold medal, but I’m proud of myself for stepping onto the mat and being able to compete with some of the best in the world.

There is still plenty of room to improve and so much more to learn. That’s what makes this journey worth it.

The medal may not have been mine this time, but the experience, the lessons, and the battles will stay with me. I’ll take everything I learned from this tournament and go back to work.

The goal remains the same: keep learning, keep improving, and keep showing up.

This is not the end of the journey. It’s another chapter. 🥋🙇🏻

The menu evolution at Bell+Amadeus is a masterclass in growth without losing the plot. It’s a tightrope walk of keeping one foot firmly on our local terroir while the other steps boldly into new, global flavors.

We’re talking a massive rollout of all-new hits and old favorites tweaked to their absolute best. From the the Arancini Tinta and Samjang Scallops to the deep, soulful comfort of the Brisket & Dila sa Baka, the range is staggering. It was an epic marathon of flavors that had me throwing the white flag on my summer body goals.

That Chorizo Hummus and the Cardava & Smoked Salmon are essential openers. There’s Wild Mushroom Soup, Pan y’ Mantekilya and the good ol’ Tuna Tartare with an orange twist. Salads galore with Peras & Gorgonzola, Vietnamese Rice Noodle & Pork, and Sinugbang Manok & Dragon Fruit. It’s a tough call between that rich Rigatoni Ragu and that unctuous Gnocchi Aligue.

Their signature Chicken Confit now comes smokier in their Inasuhang Manok and Grilled Kugita is a standout testament to refined local grilling. There’s also Korean Fried Chicken, Pako sa Manok, Sinugbang Porkchop, Pork Tacos, Suno Risotto, Rib Eye Cuts, Steak & Fries…burp!

But there’s always room for dessert. Do not sleep on the Polvoron Tiramisu, a brilliant, nostalgic flip on the classic. Your Chocolate Lava comes decidedly darker and with novel side of Bamboo Shoot Ice Cream and Parmesan. A happy dance is guaranteed with the Mango Tango of Mango & Vanilla Cremeux, Kesong Puti, Green Mango Sorbet.

Definitely no bad bananas in this bunch. 🍌🍌🍌

Paperwork for flying with a furbaby is a journey of its own, but having our DOGhter seated in-cabin with us makes it all worth it. 💺

We’ve mastered the local routes, so we’re now dreaming of international skies. To prep for the extra requirements, we finally got Bacon her own PAWSSPORT. 🎫

Application was pretty quick but processing was understandably manual so release took a while. If anything, it gave it a bit of DFA-delay legitimacy. Hahaha. 🛂

Were we ever so excited to receive the document! It came in a similar maroon cardstock cover with a modified coat of arms of the Philippines, “PILIPINAS” inscribed above it, “PAWSAPORTE” below, with the biometric passport symbol to boot. Inside, there’s a full ID page and sections for all her vet records. We’re officially ready to start collecting passport stamps! 🐾

Comment PAWSSPORT below and I’ll DM you the link to apply for your own! 🐶

Still riding the high from the run, the brews, and the brunch vibes! The @bell_amadeus x @arcanys.crossfit Brunch Rave was a total hit — Arcanys’ first ever run event kicked off with a 5KM dash and ended with a laid-back, sun-soaked brunch at Bell+Amadeus.

Think fresh brews and summer cocktails, amazing food, good convo, and even better energy - this is how you do post-run recovery the B+A and Arcanys way!

History made. Bellies full. Hearts happy.
