Confidentiel began with a simple intention: to create another way of encountering art.

Within the salons of the Hôtel de La Trémoille, curiosity set the rhythm - drawing the eye from one work to the next, revealing unexpected affinities across periods and cultures, and lending the entire experience its distinctive spirit.

Our deepest thanks to Her Excellency Ana Hrustanović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, for so graciously welcoming us within her residence, to our partners for shaping its atmosphere, and to the galleries, collectors and connoisseurs who made this second edition so memorable.

Nurtured over years of joint presentations and a shared presence at @tefaf Maastricht, the dialogue between @oscargrafgallery and @galerielucasratton now finds a new setting at the Hôtel de La Trémoille.

The European decorative arts of the late nineteenth century meet the ancient arts of Africa, revealing affinities of form, material and line that transcend both geography and time. Placed side by side, each work casts new light on the other.

Today marks the final hours of Confidentiel, a last chance to witness this singular collaboration.

Some works are rarely seen. At Confidentiel, their stories come to light.

@oscargrafgallery unveils a piece that has remained out of sight for 45 years. A few steps away, @galerielucasratton presents a rare pendant from the Solomon Islands with striking details. At @galerieneuse, an object nearly 500 years old is one of the last of its kind, with its only counterparts held in the Kremlin and the V&A Museum.

Yesterday, Confidentiel met its first eyes.

Collectors, connoisseurs and passionate eyes came together around a shared appreciation of art.

Throughout the salons of the Hôtel de La Trémoille, conversations unfolded, perspectives were exchanged, and the exhibition began to take a life of its own.
