A collection of randomized images from my phone that capture the fragments of a few days of wildly stimulating, fun, and beautiful moments in Santa Fe, NM for the 1st annual SLSA satellite symposium dedicated to Fluxus and its legacies. New writing on @alisonknowlesofficial and @paulineoliveros and feminist-queering-sonic-world building to come. Thanks to all my Flux-conspirators for everything. “if-if-if” a show about the possibility of language and exploring its boundaries curated by Chicago’s finest, Chris Reeves. It’s great to work with letters again, and reminds me perhaps I am too conservative. There are much more radical ways to go forward. Open until 10/25 Sundays 12-4pm, The Plan, 610 N Albany

As part of this year’s Ground Floor exhibition at @hydeparkartcenter, I am presenting Lessons in (Hospitality). This project offers a series of ten free classes, each conceived and led by a different thinker, maker, and/or professional, and all centered around the subject of hospitality. @otherchrisreeves’ class, Lessons in (Curating (with Care), was postponed due to a downpour, but has been rescheduled for this weekend! And tonight @__bench_press will lead Lessons in (Jamming: Exercises in Radical Listening & Sonic Play) at Horner park!

Info for each class can be found on HPAC’s eventbrite (link in bio). Some classes have limited capacity, so sign up! Hope to see you there!

a body so full of love and loving and longing, i fall apart each time my hands reach for yours. a body so full of language, sounds disguised as words dressed up in english stretch across time, which is the kitchen table, waiting impatiently for the oven to ding. i am devoted to feeling. i am devoted to feelings. which means i’m devoted to the body. yours and mine. i do not ignore my body, which insists then, that i cannot ignore yours. your thirsty mouth. your crawling hands. your laughing bursts of rupture and rapture. oh oh o. woe to the body that breathes, but forgets it’s breath. what a grief that truly must be. (or some holy scripture i’m sure once said.) god is a holy thing dressed in drag. amen, my god is a feeling fleshy thing that oozes and bleeds.

movement philosophy returns in august- this time on Wednesdays! come for one. come for all.
then september, im teaching somatic movement again with @khecaridance, followed by a swift return of MP on mondays in november. all 🎟️ live and u no where. questions about any of them- dm!

with all devotion to this feeling body 💙🌀🤸‍♀️

I’m so excited to be part of 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝘾𝙪𝙩𝙨!

OPENING THIS FRIDAY @the_plan_chicago , curated by @oliviazubko

I’ve been incredibly lucky to have a family that saved my childhood artwork. That archive has become a living part of my practice—I keep it in my studio, where it’s not just a collection of memories, but an ongoing reminder of why I make art.

The drawing I’m exhibiting has hung in my studio for years. I made it in preschool: marker on newsprint.
It’s funny to realize that, decades later, I’m still working with those same materials. There was something authentic, direct, and urgent about drawing then that I still find myself chasing today.

I’m honored to show this early work alongside the childhood creations of more than 75 Chicago artists, spanning seven decades. I hope you’ll come experience this thoughtful and joyful exhibition.

Opening Reception
📅 Friday, July 3
🕕 6–10 PM
📍 610 N. Albany Ave.

Show runs July 3 - July 26
