That’s a wrap on an incredible two days at the 2026 CI Healthcare Conference! We spent the last 48 hours connecting with fellow healthcare leaders, advocates, and change-makers, all driven by a shared vision for a healthier future. For our team, it was a powerful opportunity to dive deep into three pillars close to our hearts: Spreading Awareness: We shared vital knowledge on why raising awareness early and often is the foundation of preventing disease and saving lives in our community. Education is our strongest tool. How Our Wellness Program Operates: We broke down the mechanics of our wellness program, showing how we combine accessible health screenings, and continuous support to help people thrive beyond their breast cancer diagnosis. Supporting the CI Cancer Registry: We highlighted our unwavering support for the CI Cancer Registry. Data drives direction- by backing this registry, we ensure researchers and providers have the critical insights needed to improve patient outcomes, target resources effectively, and ultimately find better treatments. @hes.cayman Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, and chatted with our team. The conversations we had here will fuel our work for months to come! @katherineforwbc @otpcaymanislands #CIHealthcareConference2026 #WellnessProgram #CancerRegistry #HealthAwareness #PublicHealth HealthcareInnovation CommunityWellness

🇰🇾 TODAY, WE TOOK A HISTORIC STEP TOWARD PROTECTING CAYMAN’S FINANCIAL FUTURE. October 5, 2026, will be remembered as the day the Cayman Islands Parliament took a bold step toward building a stronger financial future for generations to come. I was honoured to stand alongside the Honourable André Ebanks, Premier of the Cayman Islands and Minister for Financial Services & Commerce, in supporting his motion to establish a Sovereign Wealth Fund for the Cayman Islands and its people. Even more significant was what happened next — the motion was unanimously supported by the elected Government and passed in the House. As Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services & Commerce, I am deeply grateful to the Premier for entrusting me with a leading role in taking this important initiative from a motion on the floor of the House to tangible legislation and, ultimately, a functioning Sovereign Wealth Fund for the Cayman Islands. The world we live in can change in the blink of an eye. Natural disasters can strike. Government revenues can fall unexpectedly. Global financial markets can shift. Economic uncertainty can reach our shores without warning. A Sovereign Wealth Fund can give Cayman an additional layer of financial resilience: a responsible way to set aside resources during times of strength so that, when challenging times come, our people and our Government have a stronger financial safety net to rely on. Just as Joseph prepared Egypt during the years of plenty for the years of uncertainty, Cayman too must have the courage to think beyond today. And we must do it responsibly, transparently and in accordance with internationally recognised standards, including the Santiago Principles. Today, Premier Ebanks and I took a first historic step together. Now comes the work — developing the framework, bringing forward the legislation and turning this vision into something tangible that can strengthen Cayman’s financial independence and resilience for generations. 🇰🇾 For the love of Country. Mrs. Julie Hunter, JP, MP Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services & Commerce #JulieHunterForThePeople #CaymanSovereignWealthFund #CaymanFinances
