Orthosis fabrication 101! ✋🩹 Our first-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) students learned how to fabricate custom hand orthoses by heating, molding and fitting thermoplastics—building the clinical skills they’ll use to help patients regain function and independence. Future hands that heal, in training!

Happy Aphasia Awareness Month! I had the honor to celebrate with the students in the @otpitt occupational therapy program at Pitt. In this annual presentation I get to share strategies to help support people living with aphasia. Thanks Pitt OT!

I shared my sticker from the @aphasia_access campaign - which you can still get by donating by the end of the money. Check out the website or IG page for more info!
