Learning how to COMPETE to earn a desired outcome is important. It’s the purpose of sport. However, those connections with others and building friendship through sport is equally as important - and maybe even more so.

Looking around our Putnam County courses this Summer and Fall, there wasn’t a day that went by where kids weren’t out at the course working on learning the game, improving upon necessary skills, COMPETING, and building friendships with one another.

Really cool to see all that work, competition, and friendship on display when the biggest competitions come around in late September and October. Always wanting to be one shot better - but always supporting one another along the way, too.

Great work, Putnam County - and we wanted to say well done to our county-mates from Kalida and Ottawa-Glandorf on great showings at STATE. 👏🏻⛳️

Congrats to my beloved high school Alma Matter, the Ottoville Big Green, for again making it to the Ohio D3 State Golf Championships at our family's home country club, NorthStar Golf Club.

Our @northstargcturf team has the course as beautiful as ever and it is definitely ready to test these kids' golf games.....especially testing their putting abilities.

Have fun boys, the Rickers are super proud of you all, and unfortunately we will be missing this year's Ottoville state berth because our Amelia plays in the Ohio D1 Golf States in Dayton at the exact same time as you all play. We are so bummed they are at the same time!!

GO BIG GREEN!!
