Earlier this week over at Olympia……@decorex_international opened with a brilliant central feature, the brainchild of @alexandriadauley and @grantpierrus.

I have a lot of time for these two. They are full of positivity, and passion for what they do, open and inclusive.

Promoting their new initiative @aevencollective, Alex and Grant brought together 70 beautiful different, handcrafted chairs from across the UK to represent us as individuals within the design industry and how we all have a seat at the table.
Such beautiful pieces from talented makers that inspired conversations and connections throughout the week.

A weekend dedicated to the art of making.

This weekend at Daylesford Farm, Work of the Hand brought together a community of artisans, craftspeople and visitors for a two day event. From traditional techniques passed down through generations, to contemporary interpretations of age-old skills, each maker shared a unique story of creativity, patience and dedication to their craft.

Reflecting on a weekend dedicated to the people, skills and stories behind exceptional craftsmanship.

An inspiring evening to open Work of the Hand, a celebration of craftsmanship, heritage and the enduring beauty of things made by hand.

Join us this weekend as we welcome artisans and makers to Daylesford for two days dedicated to traditional skills, natural materials and the art of making.

From live demonstrations and conversations to the work of emerging craftspeople, discover the stories, techniques and traditions that continue to shape contemporary craftsmanship.

We are delighted to host graduates of The King’s Foundation, whose work reflects a shared commitment to preserving heritage skills for generations to come.

It is more than an assembly of beautiful objects. It is a celebration of heritage, of knowledge passed down through generations and of the quiet but powerful sense of community that underpins the world of craft. OTZI is a materials-led design studio and workshop based in Norwich, East Anglia, creating handcrafted furniture and interior objects from sustainable native timbers, natural leathers and textiles.
