🌸✨ The Forget Me Not Charity Ball – Raising Awareness for Alzheimer’s ✨🌸

I’m proud to share that I am organising the Forget Me Not Charity Ball, an event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s. 💜

This event is not only about supporting vital research and care but also about bringing together families, caregivers, and communities touched by this disease.

We are currently seeking sponsorships and partnerships with organisations who want to make a meaningful impact. Your support will help us:
✅ Host an unforgettable evening that celebrates togetherness and hope
✅ Raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s awareness and support initiatives
✅ Shine a light on the experiences of caregivers and families

📌 The Forget Me Not Ball will be an opportunity for organisations to demonstrate their commitment to community, visibility, and social responsibility — while helping us ensure that no one is forgotten.

Super Sunday sunny run along my old faithful cycle track 🏃🏼‍♂️😎at the end of the season now so mentally and physically beat up yet still full of I can’t wait to race 🤪💪
Thought I’d take you out with me ….
20 min warm up z2 👌👌straight away super smiley @jess_____________86 whizzes by so quick shout out to then be joined by non other than @amyyoung8321 (who smashed her Weymouth 70.3 👊)then we passed our @overathollys 😊she’s a beaut (give her a follow if you like interior design 🙌)amy turned off and onto radstock where we pass legendary @bike_it_radstock 🚴🏻‍♂️(a sponsor and a shop close to my heart) then the second part of the track which is mint 🤩now started to get covered in leaves yet surrounded by countryside whilst the old railway track is still there with some bridges 🚂kilmerston church and one of the few village pubs (jollif)where you’ll get a hearty plate of grub (ham egg chips 🙌)great to see so many happy runners out including @michellelhyde and her friend enjoying the sun and getting there run done 💪go girls 🙌turn point is usually the old carriage where it’s all down hill (forgot to mention the out bit is 2% incline)great training building endurance 👊now we can turn the legs a bit more back to radstock and head home 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♂️seem to always see my old friend and chilly footy legend Neil bridges 😃top man and always a high 5 (just when I need it) now we’re 80 mins in and time to cool down so head through the town MIDSOMER NORTON 🤦🏻‍♂️don’t be fooled by the nice river pic as tbh it’s a dump 🤣🤣(sorry if I offend anyone by this)have seen the highs and lows mind but we have a spoons and that’s decent 👌plus my fav pub (as well as the crown but that’s in Clapton not norton) riverside where In off season I may be seen dancing 🕺 to a band and acting a bit over exited 🤪🍺finishing back where I played hours of footy with spotty @chivers_75 @stuartnoel4 and many of my life long friends 🥰time to walk it off back in the ghetto of Hillside massive @jonathan.box.69 he knows these parts another local legend
All in all 1hr 40min aerobic run #happysunday

I am out on walkies, Jasper decided to stay at home in his bed! He has something called Arthur-itus so was feeling a bit stiff.

Mum says she has finished working (whatever that is) for the year so we can go on some nice long morning walks!

She just said I have to have a bath when we get home😵‍💫!

A SNIPPET OF SOMERSET 🌳

A blue sky, shining sun and rolling green hills were the backdrop to a delightful ride today! 🚴‍♀️
.
I met up with my cousin to go for a cycle around the local Mendip hills and we ended up in Wells - the smallest city in England. 🤏 Despite what people may think, and probably to the horror of some, I rarely check the weather or route prior to a bike ride if someone else has planned it. 🗺️ I love to turn up, completely unaware of where I'm going and what I'll see, and just enjoy it for what it is. I find that having no expectations means that I'll literally be happy with whatever we do.😄

Today, all I knew was that it was likely to be cold, and we'd probably come across some hills. ⛰️ The unlikely surprises included visiting a beautiful cathedral, learning about a local Olympian and having the perfect winter riding conditions 👌

It was fab - thank you @overathollys - I can't wait until I'm back down this way so we can do it all over again! 💛

So yesterday turned out to be a belter of a day.

These domes @thebirdbath_ are just stunning and allowed us to celebrate outside inside! Already booked to go back with the tribe.

I also got a couple of hours to myself to wander round Bath on my own and go to places I don’t normally get the chance to - then I ate and drank some more!!

But it got me thinking last night- it’s really bloody tough for everyone right now. And we all have different ways of coping and different circumstances. Whether it’s home-schooling, being furloughed, feeling lonely, if you’ve lost your job or your missing friends or your family. Everyone has something right now. ⁣

What the world needs now is kindness right....? (And a vaccine, but that’s a different story....) ⁣
⁣
So I’m setting you a challenge. A ‘pay it forward’ ‘random acts of kindness’ challenge. I challenge all of you to do something kind for someone else this week. Doesn’t have to be today...doesn’t have to be tomorrow but if we all did one kind thing for someone else this week, that mean that each person would smile and we definitely need more smiles in the world right now. ⁣
