THREAD BY THREAD ✨🧵

Thread by thread, colour by colour, tapestry transforms an idea into something wonderfully tangible; rich in texture, warmth, detail and feeling.

Perhaps not the first art form that comes to mind when we think of contemporary art, tapestry offers extraordinary possibilities.

In Small Things Considered, we’re delighted to feature two beautiful small-scale tapestry works by Sara Brennan and Jo Barker.

Sara distils impressions of landscape into compositions of quiet power, while Jo brings vivid threads together to create painterly marks, expressive scribbles and powerful shapes.

Both artists reveal the beauty and versatility of this enduring and timeless art form.

Own something truly special. Discover their work at Velarde and online at velarde.co.uk.
