Elite Camps was honored to have our Founding Owner, Stephanie Rudnick, join the “Community Partners Fireside Panel” at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) @ SamIbrahim Building on March 26th!
The evening was a powerful celebration of youth leadership and collaboration, featuring a screening of the documentary short film, “I Am Because We Are.” Stephanie joined fellow community partners to discuss building sustainable pathways that weave basketball and nature to build mental health & leadership skills.
It was a true full-circle moment to return to the U of T environment and reflect on the lessons learned during last summer’s Champions Summit at our Hoop Dreams overnight camp. At Elite Camps, we aren’t just teaching the game; we are committed to strengthening the partnerships that help our young athletes turn their ideas into action and master the life lessons that sport provides.
Huge thanks to Kareem South and the entire team for inviting us to be part of such an impactful huddle. We are already looking forward to how we can continue to grow together!

I didn’t step into filmmaking because I wanted to make films.

I started because most people aren’t afforded the luxury of pausing, reflecting, or being truly listened to. Most people carry entire histories without ever having someone witness them.

I’ve spent years holding space and sitting with people in their most honest and vulnerable moments. Filmmaking became the bridge. A space for healing, reflection, and truth. A way to honour the brilliance inside our communities.

It’s not just filmmaking. It’s restorative justice. It’s ministry.
