Alternative Provision | Oxfordshire
✨Every excluded & SEN child deserves an education✨
We Uncover the Story • Spot the Potential • Build the Pathway

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

4 years ago, I was an angry and frustrated mum. I was in complete shock at how the education system treats our most vulnerable children. I started posting on social media about my journey in setting up an alternative provision for excluded children.

I knew nothing about how the education system worked and didn’t understand anything about special educational needs.

I had no teaching experience.
I had no team.
I had no money.

Fast forward to 2026. My first solo alternative provision @oxfordcreators is going from strength to strength.

I have also teamed up with 2 passionate dads to bring the UK a national network of high quality alternative provisions called @resolve_ap

Who would have thought posting on social media would lead me to getting to know @mrsreandpsheteacher - who is now partnering with us to launch our first site in the north of England!

We believe children deserve to be understood, supported and given another chance — especially when mainstream education hasn’t worked for them.

Sometimes the right people meet in the most unexpected places. ✨

Had a really positive 3 months with the team at @oxfordcreators, working with them to transition into new premises, develop the service, and most importantly, deliver very important sessions to their students.

The work has been fun and being in the team for even just a short period of time was enjoyable.

Thank you to the team for trusting me to be involved in the work and giving me space to be part of what you do. I had a great time.

I’m now looking forward to starting a new role on Friday, in a new team, working across a new county. Bring it on.

Check out Oxford Creators to see more about the great work they do supporting children who feel ostracised from education.

Founding and building an alternative provision is full of unimaginable challenges, especially when you’re ’fighting the system’ for your own child at the same time.

When you’re down some people kick you further down. Whilst some people lean in and get you out the dark hole.

Beyond grateful to have the best people in my life personally and professionally.

Looking forward to unleashing big plans for @oxfordcreators

Thank you for coming on the journey ❤️

Our students proudly showcased their heritage, creating an atmosphere full of joy, respect and unity. Moments like these remind us that our diversity is our strength ❤️

It’s spacious, clean, modern - everything our SEN children and staff deserve. Finally we have a beautiful workspace with stunning views across the Oxfordshire countryside.
