THE VOICES OF IDERE: WHY ODIDIOMO’S CANDIDACY RESONATES.

During our recent visit to Ibarapa, I took time to engage with our party members at the grassroots, particularly in Idere, my hometown, speaking with three people across each of our three wards in Idere, Ibarapa Central Local Government.

Their testimonies were both revealing and reassuring. From their appreciation of Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo)’s record of responsible and accountable public service to their commendation of his decision to appoint one of their own as Director, Youth Mobilisation and Strategy of his campaign organisation, a clear message emerged: leadership earns trust when it demonstrates responsibility, recognises people, and creates opportunities for them to contribute.

For me, this engagement was more than an opportunity to hear their opinions; it was a reminder that the strength of any political movement lies in the confidence of the people at the grassroots. Their voices deserve to be heard, their trust must never be taken for granted, and their expectations must continually inspire our commitment to purposeful leadership.

These are the voices of our people. These are the conversations that matter. And these are the relationships upon which we must build a politics of accountability, inclusion, and service.

From Idere, Ibarapa to the wider Oyo South Senatorial District, the conversation continues.

From Ibarapa Central to Ibarapa North, our engagements have reinforced a fundamental truth: leadership must listen, understand the people’s realities, and earn their trust through service. Politics must be about people, not just power.

Since my appointment as Director of Youth Mobilisation & Strategy at the ODIDIOMO Campaign Organisation, we have taken the Odidiomo for Senate movement directly to the people, engaging young people, farmers, teachers, pensioners, and community leaders. Their message is clear: they want economic opportunities, safer farms, better livelihoods, and a Senator who understands their struggles and will fight for their interests.

That is why we are taking the record of Rt. Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullai Olajide (ODIDIOMO), @AdedejiOdidiomo to the people. From digital skills and youth empowerment to technology-driven security solutions and agricultural development, his experience in the House of Representatives provides a foundation upon which we can build a stronger future for Oyo South Senatorial District.

But no campaign can succeed without the people. Every eligible voter must collect their PVC, mobilise others, and make their votes count. Our votes are too precious to sell, waste, or surrender to apathy.

On 16 January 2027, let us turn our convictions into votes and our collective aspirations into reality. Let us organise, mobilise, and move forward together.

IBARAPA IS READY. THE PEOPLE ARE READY. ODIDIOMO FOR SENATE! Vote APM. Vote ODIDIOMO.

GOD bless Ibarapa. GOD bless Oyo State. GOD bless Nigeria.

STATEMENT ON THE SAFE RELEASE OF 20 ABDUCTED CORPS MEMBERS

The Yoruba Students Council of Nigeria (YSCN), Oyo State Chapter, welcomes with great relief the safe release of the 20 abducted National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.

We are deeply grateful to God for preserving their lives and bringing them out of the ordeal safely. We also appreciate the security operatives for their bravery, dedication and relentless efforts toward securing their freedom.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Oyo State Government, and the Imo State Government for their intervention, coordination and commitment to the safe recovery of the corps members.

We particularly commend the Imo State Government for taking responsibility for their immediate welfare and ensuring that the corps members remain under its care for necessary medical checks and attention following their ordeal.

As a Council representing the interests and welfare of students and young Nigerians, we remain concerned about the safety of our youths and call for continued efforts to guarantee the security and wellbeing of every Nigerian serving our nation.

We pray for the full recovery, emotional healing and continued safety of the 20 corps members.

Welcome to freedom, our dear corps members. May you continue to remain safe. 🇳🇬
