Just go for it ✨I’m immensely grateful for the chance to be apart of such an amazing team, feeling even prouder to know that nearly half of us on set were Filipino. Despite the 10-hour days being a whirlwind of activity, they were filled with incredible energy and enthusiasm. Being among individuals who share similar values and drive is truly what we all desire in life—a sense of connection. I already miss you my friends and am forever sending my love and support from the 406.

And let me remind you, at times your dreams may appear too grand for the confines of our small town, but PURSUE THEM ANYWAY. Dedicate yourself, maintain respectfulness, and there’s no telling how far your dreams can carry you. #cloudmakeup

An out take from a @tbahama x @olukai photoshoot in fall 2022. We got surprised with a quick downpour that made for some really cool moments.

NOTES FROM PARADISE // as a designer, especially in Hawai’i, the possibility of global exposure, let alone ‘national,’ is very rare.

i remember going thru magazines for all kinds of inspo before when shooting concepts with @haroldjulian as we were just at the starting point of what would then become a career. dreaming of being in ANY fashion magazine…(which these publications felt like a far reach & pretty much next to impossible.)

fast forward some 10+ years later, we land a spot in the pages of @voguephilippines and couldn’t have a been a better timing for the march issue.

a beauty story told by @jasminemullins_mua with wardrobe designed by @mattbrueninglabel worn by models @jelenesan + @katrielmanapua

produced by @ozgo assisted by @tinyjapapino_

mahalo to this team and every thing and everyone that supported all of our journeys from the start. this is for everyone, and hoping this just the beginning. as one kid from mākaha + braddah harold from wahiawa…just go for it. and keep going.

I don’t talk about my work that often, but this is a moment I could not let pass. As a Filipina born and raised in Hawaii, this is definitely something I am insanely proud of. We started @renewartistshawaii from the ground up about 5 years ago. In those 5 years, we have found, scouted, and started COUNTLESS models’ careers. Many of these girls / guys never knew a single thing about the modeling or fashion industries.

I am overwhelmed with emotion, pride, and gratitude to see not just one of my girls on the COVER of Vogue Philippines, but —— COINCIDENTALLY ——also another one of my girls in the beauty editorial!! 🤯😍🙏🏽🙌🏼 #proudtobefilipino and also so proud of the work, goals, dreams, and decisions it has taken to make all this possible for a girl from Kalihi (me)😂🙈 as well as these stunning fellow Filipinas who believed not only in themselves, but us as an agency, to guide their careers.
