We went back to where it all started: PH Sessions! OK, that’s only half true: this project started with drunken voice messages on new year’s eve about a “really fun idea”, then a planning session where we couldn’t even think of a name (to be continued) BUT AFTER THAT! The first gig we went to making this content was at PH Sessions. We love this place, the people behind it, and the music. Oh my god, the music.

Yesterday we got to enjoy Felix Alexander Lybeck’s first live gig performing his solo work. As two Bad Sauna fans it’s such a treat to hear him sing in Swedish. The same familiar, magical voice in our own native language. We’ve never hung out with Felix at a summer cottage, but imagine the vibe would be like this.

Orvokki enchanted us with the voice of an actual angel on earth. Her set was filled with soundscapes from a different world, as well as places that felt like home. Such a down to earth and sensitive performer, what a treat to experience this live.

Both performers felt, for lack of a better word, true. The lyrics in combination with the mood made the experience feel like they shared their personal journals with us. Thank you.

Ok ok ok here are the deets!

Artists: Felix Alexander Lybeck, Orvokki
Venue: Päätyhuone, Vallila
Vibes: cozy, warm, magical, personal, summer’s soon here you guys omg and this is the vibe we’re going for.

"Life's a bender
You'd better surrender to it
It's gonna love you tender
If you just surrender to it"

This song is kind of a homage to Bill Hicks - the rollercoaster metaphora on the first verse is from one of his stand-up routines. Go watch him if you haven't - he was a legend! 💥 @billhicks_fbpage @billhicks_justaride @billhicksforever_dotorg

Who knows the answer for this; how many days you gotta keep going, before you can officially call it a bender? Don't cheat and use google.
