COLLECTIBLE New York 2026, CURATED — p(erson)al

Seoul-based design studio p(erson)al (@p_erson_al), founded by Woojin Park, makes its US debut at COLLECTIBLE New York 2026 with (PU-T-B) Offset Radius 01 – a lounge chair formed by two offset curves in bent aluminium profiles, developed through the studio’s PU-T-B system.

Polyurethane tubes are fastened directly to the aluminium structure with exposed bolts, their elasticity transforming individual points of connection into flexible surfaces that respond to the body. Repositionable, upholstered foam cushions can be arranged across the seat and backrest, allowing the chair to accommodate different body types and rest positions. Conceived in response to Park’s own need for rest within his workspace, the work reframes the workplace from a site organized around productivity into an environment for personal rest and physical recovery, reinterpreting standardized industrial components as a personal infrastructure for comfort.

Shown as part of Human Resources, the 2026 CURATED section curated by Alex Tieghi-Walker (@tiwa_select) that explores ambition, labor, and systems of value through the lens of the corporate environment.

PU-T-B Work Chair - Designed by Woojin Park of @p_erson_al .
-
This chair uses polyurethane tubes, aluminium profiles, and bolts to create its structure. Instead of hiding how it’s made, every connection remains visible, relying on tension, compression, and material friction to hold the chair together.

Design that makes its construction part of the final form.

...ft a bespoke sound system, sofa scape, and even a custom dog bed

On Wednesday, to celebrate the opening of @3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, Hypebeast teamed up with @deoron to throw a party at their exhibition space on Paper Island.

Guests had drinks from @1664blanc and @artoftherfill while checking out the designs on show, which ranged from a tower of pink stepping stones, to a set of charred wooden speakers.

The centre of the room was taken over by a conversation pit designed by @justushilfenhaus for @folkefurniturecph, placed in front of a custom-built sound system by Berlin-based @alephalef.sound. Across the evening, music programming came from the likes of @enequist_ and @anton_friisgaard.

Swipe to take a look around, and head to Paper Island 21 to see the Deoron show.

A chair built through tension.

Designed by Woojin Park of @p_erson_al , this striking industrial piece uses polyurethane tubes, bolts, and visible aluminium profiles as its core structural system. Instead of hidden joints, the design celebrates tension, compression, and material friction, every connection is deliberately exposed, turning the construction itself into the aesthetic.

Raw, honest, and beautifully engineered, the chair feels like a functional sculpture that blurs the line between furniture and industrial design.
