She’s a runner she’s a trail staaar 💫We diiiid it! 🥳

@maverickrace 25km Cani-X X-Trail run & @beat_the_beacons 37km Cani-Hike with Vadey & Renny complete ✔️

£2310 raised to be split between @cr_uk & @therescuehotelcdh where I adopted Vada from. For anyone new to this account, I met her at Cardiff Dog’s Home as a volunteer dog walker and fell head over heels for her (along with everyone else who got to take her out 🤣)… fast forward from January 2024 to October 2026, and after such a horrendous start to her life, it feels VERY cool that we get to do things like this together! She’s hands down the best thing that’s ever happened to me and every single birthday wish I’d ever made come true 🥰🍀

Thank you SO much to everyone who donated to us along the way - it really does mean the world to see everyone giving so generously to 2 causes that mean so much to myself & Louise🙂‍↕️😌💗

Maverick Race Jurassic Coast for the second year. That’s twice now that I’ve completed the Half Marathon (24.5k) distance, should I step up to the 52k next year??

This was always just going to be a training run for me, as I’m mid-training block for the @spinerace in January, and this distance fitted in with the desired long run. However, as soon as the gun goes off, I’m not just going to run an easy run pace, am I?! I went a bit too hard for the first 10k, getting to the 10k mark at 53mins, which was 2 mins quicker than last year on the same course. I knew that wasn’t to last and started to tail it off a bit on the climbs away from Old Harry Rocks, to save a little in the tank for nearer the end. That worked, as the last 4-5kms felt really good and finished strong, and the overall pace was only 3s per km slower than last years race, and I specifically trained for that one. I’m mid training for a 75k race, so wasn’t expecting to be as quick.

Cracking day for it though, weather was spot on and the scenery as stunning as ever on the Jurassic Coast.

Next up, @crewkernerunningclub’s Full MontYcute in December and then onto the Spine 💪🏼

Part of me wishes I was a bit more competitive, followed an actual training plan and did some speed work. The other part is very happy just running when I fancy it, with friends, with Pabs and whenever the sun’s out. 😂☀️

Yesterday was proof that you can get away with a questionable amount of training if you’ve got positive thoughts, you follow a nice route you’ve never done before, make friends and good conversation along the way, a stubborn head and a body that’s willing to go along with it. 😂

Oh, and fuel. LOTS of fuel. Turns out you can run a very long way if you really, really like gels. 😅

Probably not the textbook approach (sorry coaches), but I’d rather enjoy the running than force myself through training I don’t enjoy just for the sake of it.

If this inspires anyone, let it be a reminder that you don’t have to get everything ‘perfect’ to do something pretty bloody cool.

@pacelinemedia perfectly captured the finish line emotions at the @embrace_ultra Triple Trails 100k 📸

With the exception of a few darker hours early on, I loved everything about that race. Taking a wrong turn at 90-odd KM was not part of the plan when I woke up but digging the deepest I’ve ever dug in a race made scraping in just under 12 hours so much sweeter.

A huge thank you to Rob for pacing me so well when it would have been so easy for me to give up.

Embrace Ultra Triple Trails 25km was no easy feat, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and got to do it all with Josh so that makes it even more special 🥰 Next one I’ve got my eye on is their Three Castles event… eventually. Swipe to the end to see how dead I was at the end 🤣
