What a day! ⚽☀️

Our Youth Soccer League Open Day was nothing short of phenomenal. Nearly 80 kids came together for a day full of sun, excitement, training, sweat, running, skills and balls flying in every direction.

First, to our kids: you were AMAZING. Your energy, your effort and your big smiles made the whole day. To watch you finish off with a match, putting everything you’ve practised into play, was something special.

To our coaches: you were out of this world. Thank you for your patience, your passion and for giving these kids your all.

And to our sponsors, partners and collaborators, thank you for making today possible:

This is what happens when a town pulls together. One town, one story. 💛

Journey to Jazz 2027 is adding colour!

After extensive consultation with a flower, we are adding purple.

The vygies are out in Prince Albert right now. They open when the light is right, they close again, and they do not take bookings. We looked at a lot of swatches. Then we looked out the window.

More soon...

This week @francesv.h_mohair studio, hand-weaving Karoo mohair with women artisans since 2017, hosted our third mohair threads workshop with @design_academy_of_fashion students and PACT Young Creatives.

Last festival, they dreamt up the Journey to Jazz mohair armbands. This time, something new…
Journey to Jazz is built on collaboration between generations and disciplines, and on the Karoo itself. Nothing speaks for this land like mohair, and Prince Albert sits in the belt that makes South Africa the world’s largest producer.
These are ideas in progress. What would you make with it?

We are so proud and grateful to be one of the sponsors of the Kaleidoscope Music & Arts Festival, an extraordinary project that brings together some of the most formidable classical musicians in the country alongside schoolchildren, many of whom are picking up a violin, viola or cello for the very first time through the ARCO-PACT Strings Project. There is something deeply moving about watching seasoned professionals share a stage with young musicians who, just a few years ago, had never held an instrument at all.

Last night’s concert, featuring some 120 children from schools across the country, was a triumph of confidence, joy and sheer musical talent, and it reminded us all exactly why this festival matters so much. To see Prince Albert become, for one weekend each year, a stage for both world-class artistry and the next generation of musicians, is a privilege we do not take lightly.

Thank you to everyone who joined us under the candlelight, and to the entire Kaleidoscope team for bringing such extraordinary magic to our little corner of the Karoo.
