Story time! And it is a very cool story. This is Brenda. Brenda recently attended our Speed-Strength Seminar. Brenda is not a Personal Trainer, she is a Software Engineer. Our Speed-Strength Seminar is the most niche seminar and covers one of the most complex topics out of all our courses. Brenda recently decided she wants to passionately pursue the sport of Canoe Sprint with aspirations of the 2028 Olympics. DOPE! Brenda trained with KILO Level 2 Coach Nicolette Amarillas @nicolette.amarillas at DIAKADI in San Francisco from 2014-2020. Brenda later moved to Vancouver and trained with KILO Level 2 Coach Jade McClure @jadeway in 2021 and continues to work with Jade remotely. Awesome work to both of you! Her technique in the weight room was impressive. Thank you for turning her on to KILO 🥹 Brenda worked her butt off in the training sessions and genuinely impressed us in the classroom. Before attending the seminar she completed our Online Program Design and Periodization Courses which prepared her for the deep dive she took during the seminar. After completing the Speed-Strength Seminar, she booked a Private Mentorship at KILO where Stephane took her through a Sports Performance Assessment and reported back to Jade the following day to optimize her programming moving forward, as we all know, working remotely with a client with specific goals can be quite challenging if you do not see the individual in-person every now and then or take them through an in-depth assessment. During the Private Mentorship Alexandra spent some time with Brenda teaching her Hip and Shoulder Mobility Exercises as well as reviewing some exercise technique. This is what we are all about! Family! It is quite moving for us to have a client of KILO Coaches attend a seminar and hear how much KILO Programming has impacted their life and motivation. We will be keeping an eye on you Brenda! 2023.3.17 Returned to Japan🇯🇵 ⁡ 最後の最後で チケットを手配した代理店の確認ミスで フライトの乗り継ぎ便の時間変更に対応できず 1日帰国が伸びるというトラブルがありましたが (※この件に関して未だに謝罪の連絡が無いのは解せない…笑) Due to an agency error, I was not able to catch my scheduled flight and my return home was delayed by one day✈️💦 ⁡ 8ヶ月のUSAでのトレーニングを終え 23日の海外選考会の為に香川県に入りました😊 However, after 8 months of training in USA, I arrived in Kagawa prefecture for the Japan national team member selection race🇯🇵🇺🇸🛶 ⁡ USA女子チームとの練習はとても楽しかったです✨ It was so much fun practicing with the Team USA women canoeists!!! そしてサンディエゴカヌーカヤックチームに 大きな感謝を伝えたいと思います。 And I would like to say a big thank you to the San Diego Canoe Kayak Team. @sdckt ⁡ 夢のような8ヶ月間で、毎日とても幸せでした🌈本当に成長できたと実感しています✨ It was a dreamy 8 months and I was so happy every day. I’m a big fan of these Glute Hamstring Roller Devices. Especially for home gym setups. You can really target the hamstrings and core with them and they take up almost no space. For the hamstrings. The lying leg curl is extremely effective. Brenda @happyhealthyhomemade888 is showing us here how to do it. Get those high reps in! As you get stronger you can move to doing them single leg which is nice and challenging…or you can do 2 legs in on the concentric and only one leg out on the eccentric. 🔥 I also love these for Core Rollouts and Pikes/Knee ins. A traditional wheel roller is often hard for those with bad shoulders since they are quite narrow. You get to use a much wider hand width with these so my clients with shoulder issues are usually fine. Fayyaz @faim21 is showing some solid core strength here. Elevating the knees a bit makes it even harder. Then there are Pikes and Knee-ins for blasting the abs which the super fit Vaneska @vaneska_fitnesscoach is showing us in the third set of photos. If you have one of these rollers what are your favourite exercises on it? @sorinex makes a great one if you are in the USA. @bellsofsteel also has a great one for my Canadian friends.
