My photos from our canoe trip on Kakakise Lake in Killarney Provincial Park really struck a chord, racking up over 11,100 views! Now it's time to share my video of the trip. We opted for a 16-foot @swiftcanoeandkayak Prospector tandem canoe, perfect for the portage in from Carlyle Lake. The crew at @killarneyoutfitters had our canoe waiting at the launch. This was one of my favourite trips of the season. I've had this song in mind for a video for a long time, I was just waiting for the right trip. This is the one. 😊

Wow! What a phenomenal 5 days out in the Rossport Islands with our staff team completing @paddlecanada sea kayak level 3 skills. We had perfect challenging conditions within the islands to use for skill development in leadership, navigation, judgement/decision making, advanced strokes manuvers, surfing, rough water rescues, and towing scenarios. Amazing to have all these awesome people coming back to help deliver high level, professional and safe adventures on the big lake! #seakayaking #surf #lakesuperior #rossportislands #itssuchaniceday

Thinking about trying river kayaking? There are three spots left in our @paddlecanada Flatwater River Kayak Skills course on October 24.

We’ll spend the day on calm water building confidence in a river kayak, practicing strokes and edging, and learning wet exits and rescues. No current or whitewater - just a chance to get comfortable before taking your paddling into moving water.

Tyee Spit · $190 + tax

Kayaks and paddling gear are provided. Bring your own wetsuit or drysuit, or rent a drysuit for $50 + tax.

Register through the Winter River Kayaking Program link in our bio, or send us a message if you’re wondering whether this course is a good fit.

One more dive into the Killarney Backcountry. We switched it up and took a tandem canoe this time. The Fall colours were at their peak and the water was calm. We put in at Carlyle Lake and then portaged into Kakakise Lake. This was a new lake for us to paddle, and you can see the actual "Crack" from the water.

Just enjoying the ride!

This is one funny moment from our new guides being trained on the water! On our Level 1 Paddle Canada lesson we practice a whole bunch of new skills including contact towing!

Before heading out on any paddling trip, you should always check the forecast thoroughly. Especially at this time of year. Strong wind gusts can cause issues for paddlers, even experienced ones. Always wear your PFD, and make sure you return home safely. Wishing everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving. ❤️❤️❤️

We had a magical adventure packrafting Kejimkujik National Park in Nova Scotia this summer. It was such a peaceful place. A few foggy days made for some especially fantastic paddling although it made route finding a bit more fun. We truly love canoe tripping & our @alpacka_raft’s make it so much lighter than a traditional canoe. Have you done any canoe tripping or packrafting? If so, where? 📸 Stay tuned for some images and a few reels from this trip & stop by the Camp Store and show some support! (Link in bio) #kejimkujiknationalpark #portage #canoetrip #packrafting
