Makhmali (Amarnath Globe) and SayaPatri (Marigold) are the two primary flowers used by the Nepalese community to be used and worshiped during Tihar(Diwali).
This photo series tells of a narrative wherein both are personified by their colours.

Makhmali (lilac) and SayaPatri (yellow) are siblings who get to meet only once a year i.e. during the celebration of Tihar(Diwali), plucking delicate chords in their heart.

About the artist:
I am Pagel Lepcha, from a beautiful state Sikkim situated in the Northeast india. I am a freelance illustrator, photographer and film maker based in Gangtok, I am mostly interested in abstract, art, portraits and landscape photography.
