🐦‍⬛Series Saturday🐦‍⬛

Happy Saturday Besties!

I wanted to take the time today to shine a spotlight on my new Roman Empire series!

I finished these a couple of days ago and WOW. They have freaking altered my brain chemistry! This series is AMAZING! I cannot stop thinking about these characters and already want to reread them! I sobbed so much reading these 😭

They have become my entire personality lol I can honestly say I will NEVER forget these books. Thank you @bookshelf.at.tiffanys for being on me to get these read! Even though I was emotionally destroyed! 🤣 Those are the best books though, in my opinion!

Q: If you’ve read these, are you a Sean, Dominic, or Tobias girlie? If you haven’t, do you have a book or series that is your Roman Empire?

Shout out to Ash from @wewineaboutbooks for tagging me in a post of books that reminded her of songs. It wasn’t a challenge per se, but I decided to turn it into one! So I present to you, the ‘Song Title Challenge.’ How many books on your shelf share their title with a song title, or song lyric? Share this, then share yours and tag me! #songtitlechallenge #books #bookish #whatshereads #momswhoread #bookstagramchallenge

Book Review
🎧 The Museum of Failures (#161)
4.25 ⭐️/ I really liked it!
Swipe for @goodreads synopsis

🪷 This is an engaging story surrounding one family, and its secrets. Thank you to @pages.everlasting for listing it among her favorite books for her birthday bingo this year!

🪷 I went into this story blind and had no idea what I was in for. The setup was a bit slow but once it took a turn I didn’t see coming, it became much more engaging. And the end is absolute perfection- enough for me to bump up my rating a quarter star.

🪷 This one will certainly have you thinking about keeping secrets from your kids in the effort to ‘protect them’ and the fallout that can come from that discussion. It’s also set in India and deals with the complicated feelings surrounding immigration as well. Overall, it was very well done and I would certainly recommend it!

🪷 Have you read this book? What were your thoughts?

Game Show Stack: I saw someone share this challenge and I thought it sounded so fun so I jumped in and tried it myself. Books that sound like GAME shows! Some of these may qualify more like dating reality shows— but those are basically games shows in my eyes. 🤣 Ok, so which one would you watch?

🥇One By One
🥇 The Great Alone
🥇 The Push
🥇 The Sentence
🥇Hedging Your Bets
🥇 Summer Island

I’ve tagged some friends to play, but if this sounds fun to you please stack up some game show titles!

Time for another compatibility challenge! Thanks for the inspiration @chelseahudsonreads 🥰

Pictured above are some of my favorite books from the last few years! Your job is to use those books and add up points as follows:

🔟10 points for every book you’ve read
5️⃣5 books for every book you’re reading right now
2️⃣2 books for every book on your TBR
➖-1 for every book you didn’t like or DNFd

Leave me a note and/or comment telling me your total! It’s always fun to see how closely your reading preferences align with others ☺️

#FridayFlatlay: but make it a new challenge! I noticed when I packed up my books for my recent beach trip that every single one of them featured a setting sun on the cover. So I thought I’d pull all of my sunset books off my shelf, and issue the #sunsetstack challenge! It’s no secret sunsets are beautiful so I can’t fault a cover designer for using it to pretty things up. Let me see your #sunsetstack. If you tag me I’d be happy to share your post in my stories!

Btw: have you read any of these? What’s your favorite book with a sunset on the cover?
