POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🍁Happy October and thank you so much to the Sisterhood of the Traveling Books for returning this copy of THE FATED to me with all your wonderfully fun annotations!

I had a blast reading through them and seeing your reactions to different scenes throughout the book. I just love knowing that you each held this copy in your hands, took the time to ink your thoughts on the pages, and send it back to me! I always hope readers enjoy my stories, and seeing your comments made your experience of reading it even more tangible to me. Publishing a book sometimes feels a bit like sending your story out into a void, but getting an annotated copy like this feels like a gift in return. I will definitely be keeping this one safe on my shelves for years to come. 🤗

Here are 1️⃣0️⃣ facts about me that you don’t care about 🤘🏻

I’m most definitely not the most interesting person to do this trend - quite the opposite, probably.

🖤 I, in fact, DO care to know more about my friends on here so I’ve tagged some others I want to learn about 🫶🏻 no pressure on this.

❓Let’s get to know each other! Drop a fun fact about yourself! I can touch my tongue to my nose 💁🏻‍♀️

Did you know Publishers were telling authors Dystopian is dead?

Did you know they were wrong?

Here are some highly recommend recent releases of Dystopian books! Some of these I have read and if not, obviously they are on my TBR!

Have you read any of these? Which one would you reccommend? Any other recommendations for a new release Dystopian?

If you haven't read any of these, which is first on your list?

Also did you know Owlcrate will have a Dystopian Romance sub starting soon? I already have my eye on my email so I can subscribe!

📚💌 BOOK BESTIES, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! 💌📚

I have a mountain of book mail that has been piling up, and it’s long past time that I properly acknowledge all of the kindness, generosity, and love that has been sent my way.

To every single person who has sent a book, a surprise package, a giveaway win, raffle mail, bookmarks, stickers, or even just a thoughtful note—THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Life has been incredibly busy lately, and honestly, overwhelming at times. We’ve been navigating a lot of medical challenges with my son, including appointments, testing, specialist visits, and preparing for upcoming medical trips. Between everything happening behind the scenes, I’ve struggled to keep up with social media and even find the time to sit down and enjoy reading the way I normally would.

But please know that every package that arrives puts a smile on my face. Every book is appreciated. Every act of kindness is noticed.

One of the greatest gifts this community has given me is the reminder that there are truly amazing people in the world. The book community has been such a bright spot during a difficult season, and I am beyond thankful to be a part of it.

While I may be a little quieter than usual right now, I haven’t disappeared. I’m still here, still reading when I can, still cheering everyone on, and still admiring all of the incredible raffles, giveaways, and fun events you all host.

I can’t wait for the day when life settles down enough for me to jump back in and participate more regularly. Until then, thank you for your patience, your support, your friendship, and all the book mail love.

You all are truly the best, and I appreciate every single one of you more than words can say. ❤️📚

🎁 📘 Book Mail - Gifting Group 📘 🎁

I've been in a year-long birthday gifting group hosted by @bookwormsandbones! It's been so fun. My month was April (my birthday is in July, but that was already taken), and it was fun to be spoiled by the group!

Candy was eaten before I took pics, but rest assured that it was delicious! 🤣

3 of the books were shelf copies for me, all 5 star reads. The rest are on the endless TBR.

Thank you so much, everyone!

while reorganizing my bookshelf, sushi has apparently chosen violence against my books for making her wear the cone 📚😂

she’s recovering from her surgery and doing better thankfully 🤍 thank you so much to everyone who checked in on her and sent sweet messages and goodies. it genuinely meant so much to me because she is my baby girl🥹💖

does anyone else’s pets become dramatically chaotic after the vet?

💫 Word Association: PUTRESCENCE

This excellent word comes from @pages_n_phases !

🧠 Predictably, my mind went to rot. Both the ecological and biological varieties.

🥀 I find great beauty in the process of decay and its inevitability and these books capture the cycle of life in stunning and inventive ways. They evoke both the PUTRID chemical scent of decomposition and the sickly sweet undertones.

❓I need more words! Drop a word you’d like to see recs for. Give me a challenge 😈
