Non-Bookish post!

Celebrated my Neice turning 13 this weekend.

Went and did our traditional pumpkin picking at Huber’s Farm this weekend!

They had a beautiful selection of pumpkins and a flower field nearby.

I always love to pretend to be a photographer, so thought I would share some of my fall photos… mostly flowers!

Enjoy!!! by @pages_n_phases

🍁Happy October and thank you so much to the Sisterhood of the Traveling Books for returning this copy of THE FATED to me with all your wonderfully fun annotations!

I had a blast reading through them and seeing your reactions to different scenes throughout the book. I just love knowing that you each held this copy in your hands, took the time to ink your thoughts on the pages, and send it back to me! I always hope readers enjoy my stories, and seeing your comments made your experience of reading it even more tangible to me. Publishing a book sometimes feels a bit like sending your story out into a void, but getting an annotated copy like this feels like a gift in return. I will definitely be keeping this one safe on my shelves for years to come. 🤗

September Wrapped!!

September was a busy month for me!

Didn’t read a whole lot… had a few re-reads, and started a lot of physical books that I am hoping to finish this month!

My favorites from last month were probably:

The Crypt of the Moon Spider- Nathan Ballingrud- Sci-fi/Fantasy/Horror that felt very futuristic, but also set in the past. Lots of creepy crawlies that will make your skin crawl!!

Dead Weight- Hildur Knutsdottir - it all starts with a lost cat… and escalates from there!

Backstabbers- Eliza Jabore- was very cinematic, but a fun time.

The House Wife - Natalie Barelli- perfect for Frieda McFadden fans. Felt a little like The House Maid, but better.

Some book mail from this month!!
Thank you to @ireadvintage for the gifted copies of Blood Communion and Dream Count! If you aren’t part of the KDPG influencer team with @aaknopf @doubledaybooks , @pantheonbooks and @everymanslibrary you are really missing out on some great reads!!

Author event with Ayana Gray celebrating her new book Hawk & Sparrow
Everyone I sat with were by themselves at this event, and we all had a blast talking about books and getting different recommendations from each other!! Don’t stop yourself from going to these things because you have no one to go with!!

Author event with Luna Pierce and Allie Olleander- celebrating their new releases!! by @pages_n_phases

COVER REVEAL TIME!!!

Release Date: Dec 3, 2026

Blurb:
Two killers. One cell. No prisoners. Merry f*cking Christmas.

Greer Mercer is an ex-detective who’s long since given up on the holidays, and as of tonight, her career. She just killed (and “accidentally” ate!) a fellow officer who definitely had it coming.

Her only lifeline? Catching Lazarus Holley, a festively unhinged, shamelessly obsessed Krampus-masked serial killer who found her on TikTok. For months, he’s been breaking in to leave candy canes on her pillow (and playfully taunting her inability to arrest him).

Their cat-and-mouse chase spirals right into a Christmas Eve blizzard. Now they’re trapped in a small-town jail cell with only one bed, forced together by a sadistic cop who wants way more than a confession.

She’s determined to unmask him. He’s determined to become her favorite bad decision. And if they make it out by Christmas morning, the question is which one of them will be in handcuffs when they do.

HOLLY & HAVOC is a spicy dark holiday romcom perfect for fans of BUTCHER & BLACKBIRD and SLAY RIDE, featuring rival killers, forced proximity, and one very merry night guaranteed to end in escape, murder, or something much more dangerous.

Here are my September Hopefuls. Yes, I know it’s late! It’s already the 4th, but oh well!! This month is full of books I’ve been wanting and needing to read, a few fun little cutesy books, and a few ARCs as well. Again, this is all subject to change… you know…. Because I can! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Are there any books on my list that are absolute must reads?? Let me know why? by @pages_n_phases

Silly me forgot to post my July reading wrap up. It wasn’t anything to celebrate, probably my slowest reading month of the year.

August, I felt back in the groove. I knocked off a few books from my TBR. Had some really great reads too!

However, it was full of novellas and some fun romance reads, because we had a major team artifact challenge in our reading group this month, and we killed it!!

This month, the reading group is taking a break, which is sad; I will miss the group chat, but it also works out because September is a busy month!

Anyways… this is my reading wrap-up for July and August!

I finally got around to editing part of my book haul.

First up is giveaway wins!

Don’t laugh at my amateur videos… I’m still not good with this stuff 😂

I was fortunate enough to win one of @authordonnataylors San Nico Slayers summer book box giveaways. This box features some old school nostalgic horror books and signed copies of her two books in the San Nico Slayers series.

Next up was a given away by @thefarmerswifebooks. This box featured indie editions of Daggermouth, Out on a Limb, Den of Vipers, and The Wolf King

Then a giveaway hosted by @edwardanddamon and @authorlivwebster. Featuring Liv Webster’s A Kingdom of Salt and Stone.

Last but not least, I was chosen as one of @teacup.bookreader’s 3k giveaway winners last month, and she gifted me Songs of the Dead by Brandon Sanderson and Peter Orullian!! She did an excellent job choosing, as this is a book I really want to read!!

Thank you to all the hosts of the
giveaways!! I appreciate you all!!

QOTD: Have you won any recent giveaways??What’s did you win?
