Have you ever heard of rejection theory?

The idea is simple: the more you chase the no, the less power rejection has over you.

And honestly, I didn’t realize how much I needed this until I started working on sales with my friend and mentor, @paloma.lev

Growing up as a people pleaser, I learned to minimize my needs. I got really good at being easygoing, not asking for too much, and making sure everyone else was taken care of.

But asking for what I wanted? That felt terrifying, especially when it came to money.

Because when someone says no to something you’re offering, it’s easy to make it mean something about you. Your worth. Your value. Whether you’re good enough.

But the more I practice asking, the more I’m realizing that a no doesn’t have to mean any of those things.

Someone can say no to your offer without rejecting you as a person. Maybe it’s not the right time, maybe it’s not what they need, or maybe they’re simply not ready.
And sometimes, it’s just not in alignment.

I’ve started seeing rejection as redirection. Like I’m planting seeds, and some will grow while others won’t. But I’ll never know unless I put them out there.

Every time I ask for something I want, I’m reminding myself that I’m allowed to want it.

I’m allowed to have needs. I’m allowed to ask for more. I’m allowed to offer something of incredible value and let someone decide if it’s right for them.
And my worth doesn’t change based on their answer.

The more I chase the nos, the bolder I become in what I ask for. I’m no longer only going after the things that feel safe or guaranteed.

And yes, the more I ask, the more yeses I start to hear.

One of my greatest joys is bringing amazing people together and watching meaningful conversations, new friendships, collaborations, and opportunities unfold.

Yesterday’s Elevate & Expand Networking Lunch was a beautiful reminder that relationships create opportunities.

And often, they accelerate them.

As I looked around the room, I saw people sharing ideas, making introductions, supporting one another, and genuinely investing in relationships.

A few reminders of my guiding principles in building relationships:

✨ Always be curious.
✨ Always be cultivating.
✨ Always be contributing.

Ask questions.

Stay connected.

Look for ways to help.

Be kind and generous.

Because the people who create the most opportunities are often the people who create the most value for others.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared your stories, your wisdom, your generosity, and your energy.

The event may be over, but the real magic begins now.

Follow up.

Nurture the relationships.

Become someone who is remembered and recommended.

Because one conversation can change everything.

Yet what made it unforgettable was the shared experience.

The laughter, the awe, the feeling of truly being present with one another.

We opened the retreat container for one night and invited our extended community in.

It felt so good to blend worlds — retreat crew + local fam — all warming up together for @envisionfestival .

This is the part people don’t always see…
Retreat isn’t just workshops and schedules.
It’s community weaving into community.
It’s music bringing everyone into the same heartbeat.

No booze.
No pretence.
Just rhythm, cacao, and people showing up fully.

Grateful for everyone who came through and made the space what it was.

🌊✨ Beaming Sunshine from Nauyaca Waterfall ✨🌊

Today we journeyed into the jungle…
Sweat on our skin. Red earth under our feet.
Laughter echoing through the trees.

And then — the waterfall.

Cold. Wild. Cleansing.
A full-body reset.

There’s something that happens when you hike together…
When you cheer each other on…
When you jump into the water as one living, breathing family.

This retreat isn’t just about workshops or ceremonies.
It’s about shared moments in nature that crack you open in the most beautiful way.

We’ve landed.
We’ve opened the portal.
We’ve softened into the jungle rhythm together.

From sunset intention setting…
To cacao, connection, ocean swims, deep workshops, laughter, hot tub integration, and soul-nourishing meals — these first two days have been pure co-creation magic.

Last year, I made the decision to pack up and explore. So, January & February was all about clearing out what I no longer needed and letting go so I can let new things in. And most importantly spending quality time with loved ones before I began this year long adventure 💕 endlessly grateful for my Dad @keithwatters & stepmom Elaine & @xariofficial for helping me clear out my house. And @reecejrowat for finding an excellent tenant right in time for me to leave!

Last night was one for the books! Our dumpling-making event turned into a beautiful, epic hangout that stretched from 3pm all the way to 2:30am. Huge shoutout to @pravikant for being our head chef and the ignitor of this idea 💜

And we didn’t stop at dumplings. We sang, we played instruments, we danced, we played games, and we even set intentions together. What started as a simple culinary gathering grew into a celebration of connection, joy, and the magic of community ✨🥰

It was truly a night to remember, filled with laughter, creativity, and shared moments that brought us closer. This is what community is all about!
