#Sightlines artist Curtis Kulig lives and works in New York City, where he first gained international recognition for his signature manifesto Love Me. His practice celebrates humanity with a voice that moves between poignant and playful, expressed through rich canvases, neon works, 16mm films, typewritten poems, and prints that have appeared everywhere from New York and London to Istanbul, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Berlin. As a painter, photographer, and illustrator, Curtis has collaborated with Colette, DKNY, Pendleton, Vans, and Uniqlo, establishing himself as a rare figure who moves effortlessly between fine art and the commercial realm. His work has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, and he regularly contributes to organizations including Free Arts, Art of Elysium, and Hilarity for Charity. Recent exhibitions include YveYang Gallery in NYC, Fireplace Projects in East Hampton, and a site-specific presentation at The Turtle Conservatory in California. I’ve had the joy of continuing to work with Curtis, including featuring his work in my “Collections” exhibition in Miami during Art Week 2024. Curtis is truly one of one — always creating work that hits the heart. Check them out! Images in order: 1. Featured work: “Beautiful Boulevard”, 2025 16 x 20 x 2.5 inches Oil on Linen 2. @gregoirelubineau #palproject #maximebiou soloshow contemporaryart emergingartists galleryopening parisexhibition artcontemporain artemergent jeunecreation artinparis artoftheday

June Artist in residence @matissemesnil Matisse Mesnil (b. 1989, Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy) is a Franco-Italian artist living and working in Paris. His artistic practice is grounded in a critical reconsideration of the Albertian paradigm of painting as a window onto the world. From the outset, Mesnil has focused his attention on the frame and the margins of the artwork, exploring the boundary between the work itself and the space that surrounds it. This path led him to adopt metal as his primary material, engaging in a process that navigates between craftsmanship and industrial production. Welding, grinding, and cutting become tools to rethink figuration, revisiting traditional genres such as landscape and still life. His work balances industrial harshness with a contemplative aesthetic, evoking a silent tension in which latent violence coexists with a sense of ritual and spatial precision.
