Delighted to announce my upcoming solo exhibition, As It Darkens, opening on 12 July at 12pm in @engageartstudios as part of the @galwayintarts

Curated by @mark_o_gorman , the exhibition brings together a selection of paintings and sculptural works from a body of work I first began developing in 2023 during my final year at LSAD, and have continued to expand since. Featuring both new and existing works, As It Darkens explores our relationship to place, both physical and psychological, through the lens of 'soft fascination', a relaxed state of attention that engages interest without demanding focused effort. 🎄

Through this process, the work explores how spaces are experienced through movement and repeated encounters rather than from a single fixed viewpoint. The resulting pieces, both painted and sculptural, consider how memory, perception, and time shape our understanding of place, reflecting not only what we see, but how a place is gradually experienced and remembered.

🗓 As part of the exhibition, I'll also be in conversation with @laura_fitzgerald__ on 16 July. More details to follow. 🐌

⏰️ The exhibition runs from 15th–26th July, open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am–4pm (closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays). 🥚

Hope to see you there! 🌙

This year’s ✨Archipelago Festival of Colour✨ poster is here! 🤩

Once again, illustrated by the incredible @pam_eqa, who is a brilliant animator, illustrator and painter. She was responsible for last year’s painted bell tent, which will once again make an appearance in this year’s festival! 🌸

The poster is inspired by the magical Land at @willow_and_lore_farm, which will hold us throughout the weekend and gift us some of its colour too! I’ll be announcing the programme of this year’s activities very soon, but you can certainly expect natural dyeing, pigment making, inks, cyanotypes, wild clay and deep ecology 🎪🌈✨

There will be a limited edition of screen printed posters for sale, and thanks to our first sponsorship by @ocar.ie, they will include authentic Red Antrim Ochre (Ócar Dearg Aontroma), a very special pigment in this island 🧡 The posters will also include indigo from last year’s community indigo vat and charcoal from Willow & Lore’s fire pit. Watch this space! 💙🖤

Join us in this weekend of playful activities for crafters and families to explore botanical dyes, pigments and inks! Tickets via the l¡nk in b¡o or at http://festivalofcolour.co 🎟️
