Spent Children’s Day at the Esplanade, and woah! I never realised Children’s Day was so happening!!

It was so so nice to see how many younglings were there, having their first (and hopefully NOT their last) taste of theatre! 🥹

Stopped by Sports Day too, and damn, the crowd was WILD.

So many tiny humans!! So much energy!!

Started the day reconnecting with my inner child, listening to children as young as SEVEN reading and singing songs from Roald Dahl’s stories.

At 7???

What even was I doing at 7???

The Story Keeper’s Room was such a fun little show hehe.

A world where tambourines can become cakes, where fishballs can become superpower boosters, and where pretty much anything can become something else if you imagine hard enough.

And all this overgrown child did was sit there, soak in the magic of imagination, and love every bit of it. 🥹

I LOVE THE FEELINGS FARM!!

And since watching the showcase, I’ve been listening to it and attempting to Feelings Farm my 23-year-old friend into naming her emotions.

So far, she has resisted. 😭

Meanwhile, I’ve been allowing Nadya and Pam to support me in finding a better way as I calm down when people or things in life make me angry.

So as my 23-year-old friend continues to avoid The Feelings Farm, I shall continue my adventures in trying to pull her in to befriend the elephants and the jellyfishes.

One day.

ONE DAY.

Back at @esplanadesingapore’s Octoburst Festival after 10 years! What a perfect way to mark the end of my Feelings Farm project — a long 16-month journey. I can finally close my grant account! 🤞🥳

Thank you Pam, Shafiqhah, Nadya, Marcus, Feri and Edrian for being with me at the finish line. ♥️🎉 It was lovely to see friends and family tonight. I had never seen the Concourse so packed before!

Big thanks to the Esplanade crew for rushing to move us indoors to protect everyone from the haze. 🙏 I haven’t played at the Esplanade in a while, and I felt so welcomed today. And to dear @dwaynelau, thank you for teaching me how to make an elephant 🐘! 😂

This project pushed me out of my comfort zone in so many ways, but the greatest joy was always in the doing — and in doing it with @pam_oei, @shafefandi, @nadyazaheer, @hello.marco, @sandqut, @gaoyangpavane, Rebecca, Feri, @athenasius, @ryansimgj, @joelsimsc, @on3bar, @nexusmediaprod, @ed.edededededededed. Their company was the highlight for me. 🎈

Thank you Amanda Chong @asenseoffalling for your beautiful words and flowers from New York; Rachel Lim @rachlyl from Esplanade for being so helpful and supportive throughout — even offering me the Octoburst concert and inviting me for a CNA 938 interview; Tan Peng Sing from @nacsingapore for guiding me through the byzantine grant process; and Glenda Ng @glennykins, for planting this seed in October 2020! 🌱

I have no expectations for the OST and I don’t track any metrics. I just wanted to use what I was given to make something good and share it freely. Now I hope The Feelings Farm will bloom and grow on its own, and find its way to whoever needs to hear it at the right time. May it bring them comfort, joy, solace and wisdom, as it has brought me. 🌈🌦️🌴 Happy Children’s Day!

The very first play I wrote professionally was 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙢 — a musical that grew, almost accidentally, out of the creative chemistry between composer extraordinaire @mrjulian.official and me. 🌱🌈

We wrote it for feelers big and small: to remind ourselves that feelings keep our hearts soft and bodies whole, and that we can move through even the hardest emotions with compassion. ☁️❤️

Five years on, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙢 has had two sold-out runs at @esplanadesingapore and been performed to thousands. Parents and educators often asked us for the songs, and now, thanks to Julian, they can have them! 🥹 In an extraordinary act of generosity, he used his Young Artist Award grant to record the soundtrack, available on @spotify and all platforms, giving these songs a life beyond the stage.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟮 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝘁 𝟲𝗽𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟴.𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 our wonderful cast members @pam_oei (Cloud), @shafefandi (Mira), @hello.marco (Kai) and @nadyazaheer (Shan) will perform songs from the musical at the Esplanade to celebrate the soundtrack launch! 🎶 I’ll be singing along from New York. 🥹❤️🗽

The Next Movement Begins ✨🎶

Last Wednesday evening, Voices of Singapore (VOS) gathered patrons, corporate partners, and cultural leaders at CHIJMES for our VOS Benefit Gala 2026, bringing our total raised this year to over S$795,000 in year-to-date donations and live pledges!

We were deeply honoured to be joined by our distinguished guests:
• Guest-of-Honour: Mr Baey Yam Keng, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Transport @baeyyamkeng
• Special Guest: Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Social and Family Development @ericchuasl.sg
• Special Guest: Mrs Elaine Ng, Chief Executive Officer, National Arts Council

The night featured moving cross-generational performances pairing our VOS State Choirs with our Community Impact ensembles—VOS Silver Voices, VOS Starlight Voices, and Chorus of the People. A standout highlight of the evening was SPS Eric Chua taking the baton to guest-conduct Our Story.

These catalytic contributions directly power our transition into a benchmark national institution, building a lasting choral legacy for Singapore.

Thank you to every donor, partner, and performer who sang this journey with us. Together, we will continue to inspire, build and celebrate a Singing Singapore. ❤️🇸🇬

Sharing @mrjulian.official’s full thank you speech from our final show yesterday ❤️

From the creative team to the crew who are always first in and last out, to @lepetitremix celebrating 20 years with us — it’s taken a village to bring this show to life, and what a journey it’s been.

And a special shoutout to @pam_oei, who came back ten times this run and told Julian she spent more on him than BTS. We see you, Pam! #NumberOneAudienceAward 👀

To everyone on and off stage, and everyone who came to watch: thank you so much. We’re so grateful for your presence and support. 🙏
