Key takeaways:

At a HERA Women event this week, we were asked a simple question:

“What is your client actually buying from you?”

For me, it isn’t a mortgage.

It isn’t lender access.

It isn’t an interest rate.

It’s confidence.

Confidence that someone is looking beyond the transaction.

Confidence that they’re being guided through the options, structure, risks and opportunities they may not even know exist.

My clients aren’t paying me to take an order.

They’re trusting me to provide strategy, identify blind spots and help them make smarter decisions.

That distinction matters.

Because when you understand what clients are really buying, you show up differently in every conversation.

A little snapshot of May 🤍

A month filled with wardrobe transformations, autumn outfits, time with friends, wedding planning and plenty of moments with Cherry 🐴 .

We locked in our wedding venue🤩, I started designing my custom wedding gown, helped clients create wardrobes that make getting dressed easier, and made time for some fun along the way.

As Cherry gets older, I’ve become even more aware of how special our time together is, so I’ve been soaking up every cuddle, walk and moment I can.
Feeling grateful for the big milestones and the little moments in between.

✨ Building a Business That Gives You Freedom✨

I attended a workshop with HERA Women recently and I have been reflecting on it ever since.

There is something incredibly powerful about being in a room full of successful, driven women — all building, growing and navigating their own businesses.

As someone still in the earlier stages of my business journey, I found it both inspiring and grounding. Being around women who are running established businesses is not just motivating, it is necessary. It brings clarity, perspective and direction.

A few key reflections that stayed with me:

💡 Build a business that gives you freedom
💡 You cannot grow what you cannot step away from
💡 Being “busy” is not the same as being strategic
💡 Without systems, growth creates complexity — not freedom
💡 People buy into vision, leadership and clarity

💡 The 7 Pillars of Business:
Leadership • Sales • Marketing • Operations • People • Products & Services • Profit

It was a great reminder that a strong business is not built on creativity alone — it is built on structure, clarity and intentional design.

For me, this reinforces why I do what I do through @waiyindesigns — creating not just beautiful events, but meaningful experiences and strategies that support long-term growth.

✨ Success & Stories | Beginning 2026 with Intention ✨
A few weeks ago, I attended Success & Stories: A Night of Connection at The Wilmot Bar, @kimptonmargotsydney — an intimate @herawomen.com.au gathering of visionary business owners and leaders.

No pitches. No transactional networking. Just honest conversation. What I appreciated most was the intentional structure. We paired up. One person spoke, one truly listened, then reflected back what they heard.

As an extrovert and founder of @waiyindesigns , I thrive in intentional spaces like these. Real connection fuels creativity. It strengthens leadership. It builds collaborations that last beyond the room.

The evening centred on authenticity over performance, depth over noise. February felt very eventful, in the best way 🤍

Client wardrobe transitions.
Networking rooms that stretched me outside my comfort zone and led to beautiful connections with driven, inspiring people.
Incredible conversations at the Vogue event.
A little Valentine’s date night with Yoey.
And yes… hanging off ropes at TreeTops questioning my life choices 😂

I’m always reminded how intertwined life, your outfits and your confidence really are.
