The inaugural National Literacy Challenge was made possible by the people and organisations who believed in the vision and showed up to support it.
To our partners and supporters, thank you for standing with us and contributing your time, expertise, resources and support.
To our speakers, panelists and moderator, thank you for bringing your voices and perspectives into the room.
To our volunteers and the wider team, thank you for the work behind the scenes—the planning, preparation and everything that made the day come together.
And to everyone who attended, participated, shared the event or supported the vision, thank you for being part of the first edition.
Most importantly, thank you for helping create a platform where children could read, spell, demonstrate their learning, compete and be celebrated.
The first edition is complete.
The work continues.

In thousands of grassroots communities across Nigeria, critical infrastructure gaps, educational deficits, and local challenges remain entirely invisible to decision-makers.

Why? Because traditional civic engagement is broken. Communities rely on oral complaints, and leaders rely on guesswork.

Ground Bridge was built to interrupt that failure cycle. We don’t just log complaints; we transform local realities into structured, verifiable data packages. By combining human-centered community trust with lightweight civic technology, we bridge the gap between grassroots needs and institutional action.

This is our origin. This is our mandate.

Yesterday, I paid a strategic visit to the headquarters of the Political Advantage Platform (PAP) in Guzape, where I had a brief but very insightful conversation with its founder and my good friend, Mr Umar Dandago.

Umar is, by my estimation, the number one journalist in the country. And I do not say that lightly.

We had a fascinating conversation, and I left with a lot to look forward to.

Expect something hooooge! 👀

For months, I've been thinking about one question:

How can a country of millions be governed by the decisions of so few?

That question inspired this project.
Today, I'm sharing "The Silent Majority" a civic engagement analysis that explores voter turnout, political apathy, and what Nigeria's 2023 general election teaches us as we prepare for 2027.

This isn't about political parties or endorsing any candidate.
It's about participation.

The truth is simple: when we choose not to participate, we leave important decisions about our future in the hands of a smaller group of people who do.

Whether it's education, jobs, security, healthcare, fuel prices, or the economy, civic participation has real consequences for everyday life.

As a young Nigerian and the Founder of NextGen Changemakers Initiative, I believe civic education is one of the most powerful investments we can make in our democracy.

Change doesn't begin on election day, it begins with informed citizens who understand why their voices matter.

I'd love for you to go through the slides and tell me:
What do you think is the biggest reason many Nigerians choose not to vote?

Our democracy grows stronger when more people are informed, engaged, and willing to participate.

THE SILENT MAJORITY

In 2023, millions of registered Nigerians chose not to vote. Their silence became one of the biggest factors shaping the nation's future.

The Silent Majority is our latest civic engagement analysis, exploring voter apathy, democratic participation, and why every vote matters as Nigeria prepares for 2027.

This is not about political parties.
This is not about candidates.

It is about reminding every Nigerian that democracy works best when citizens participate.

As we look ahead to the next general election, the question is no longer who will decide Nigeria's future.

The question is:

Will you decide, or will others decide for you?

Together, let's transform apathy into participation and silence into civic action.

📌 Swipe through the slides.
💬 Share your thoughts in the comments.
🔁 Repost to encourage more Nigerians to participate in building our democracy.

Step up. Show up. Vote.
