LA 🔁 NYC — thank you to my family @photogenicsla for celebrating me and my book release 🤍 @parallel2you

I would say it’s difficult to put into words how exhilarating and nerve wracking it feels for this new era in my life as a published author, exploring new mediums of creation, but it’s not that hard. I’ll just write about it 🥲 I’m so grateful for the team I’m building and my growing community, friendships and relationships!

BTW, I made these earrings out of a page from my book of course 🫶🏽

My first solo NYC event for my book left me in tears 🫶🏽 Thank you @_66greene & @snatraraps for giving me the space to share a part of my soul with my community and loved ones.

@parallel2you allows me to explore poetry and prose within the collective mediums of fabric, clothing, movement and the human body, as a canvas and ever evolving series, illustrating the progression of my growth where I find love in Christ and move away from self-deprecation and into creating through unconditional love as a means of direct connection to God.

Thank you everyone for popping out to celebrate this important milestone with me— I’m so excited to share so much more 🤍

Note: the poem in “to open myself up” was carved into the leather with a razor and my fingers were cut twice :’)
