The accuracy 😂😂😂

We barely know what day of the week it is never mind our personality trait.

Let me know if you agree! What is your personality today as a mum of a certain age 🤭👇

Some days, I just don’t have the energy to make everything fun. And I’m learning that’s okay! 🤍

Not every afternoon needs an activity, a plan, or a version of me that’s full of enthusiasm.

Sometimes, we play. Sometimes, we read books. And sometimes, we’re just in the same room, doing our own thing.

I used to feel like I had to make up for my low-energy days. Like if I wasn’t actively entertaining Taksh, I wasn’t doing enough!

But he doesn’t need me to turn every ordinary moment into a core memory. He needs a mom who can be herself around him, even on the days she’s tired✨

Because motherhood is already a lot without the added pressure of being the fun mom, the patient mom, the creative mom, and the always-present mom. All at once. Every single day.

So if all you managed today was keeping your little one safe, fed, loved, and getting through the day yourself…
That counts, too. 🤍
Today doesn’t have to be magical to be a good day!

📌 Save this for the days you feel like you’re not doing enough. And send it to a mom who needs the reminder. 🫶🏻
✨ Follow @lifewithtaksh_ if you’re learning to parent without trying to be that mom.

This spooky season, please don't scare the little ones. Younger children - under 6 - can come up with crazy ideas to answer questions they don't know how to ask. It's called "magical thinking" and here's a Halloween example.
From ep. 15 of the Hidden Language of Children podcast, on YouTube and wherever you stream your podcasts.

My official weather report: 0% chance of rain, 100% manufactured. 🇨🇳💨
The sky looks heavy but nothing is falling. Clearly, these clouds are “for display only” and the quality check failed. You literally can’t argue with this logic! 📈🤫
Drop a 🌧️ if your weather is glitched too! 👇

This barely covers the surface of PMDD to be honest. But this is as much as I can muster before getting thst early night. I've felt the real extremes, the crying calls to the doctor and I've been on a journey with it and various meds.
Right now - antihistamines and Vitamin D is helping a lot. But those days in the lead up and after can be debilitating - if you know, you just know.

But being able to recognise, and take action is a massive step. I know pushing myself further tonight is something tomorrow won't thank me for. Even though the PMDD side wants to destroy my soul and crush me for it... I have chosen to practice what I preach.

A bit of Still Game and some reading before bed and we start a fresh tomorrow. Be rest assured, working with me means you get a mum who absolutely resonates, and can help you.

I'll be talking about this a lot more in my line of work as I am also doing training with @thepmddproject to volunteer and run local support groups in Edinburgh & the Lothians. So watch this space 👀 I just need to carve out time for the training in the middle of preparing for the Overwhelmed Mum RESET (link in bio if you still need to join!)

Anyway, off to do what I said I would and I feel SO much better already this evening! ❤️

Comment “DUBAI” and I’ll DM you the exact products we use! 🇦🇪🤍

5 things I genuinely didn’t think we’d need when we moved to Dubai with Taksh… and now use so regularly. 😂

Some felt a little extra at first. The shower filter, the stroller fan, carrying SPF everywhere… but living here with a toddler changes your idea of what’s actually worth having!

✨ If you’re moving to Dubai with little ones, SAVE this for later. These are the things you don’t necessarily think of when making that moving checklist! 👀
🤍 And send this to someone planning their move to Dubai!

Crafts gone wrong 🤣🤭

Never mind!

But a simple reminder that the picture perfect things we see online... are rarely the full (or accurate) picture.
