Happiest of birthdays to my beautiful @paris_achenbach. She does so much! Trains and runs races, plays piano beautifully, teaches young students, countless assignments for her grad school program, writes songs that get stuck in my head for two weeks at a time.. She never stops pushing herself to be the best version of herself. And — she’s been doing all of this lately (except the marathon training) while carrying our little human who will be here on Earth come September! She’s an inspiration to me and does so much for me I can’t really express it. Congratulations on finishing your semester and happiest of birthdays, Paris! I love you! ❤️ ❤️

@carolynbroussardofficial ‘s George Strait tribute show was such a fun night and felt like a family reunion! Carolyn and the backing band worked on this show for months, picking out 20+ songs and lining up all the guest musicians/vocalists.
She also screen printed Tshirts, and had a lot of her jewelry and crafts for sale from her @crankychameleonfarms .
The band: Carolyn Broussard, vocals and band wrangler;
Mike Harvey - fiddle; Robert Matschiner - bass; Dave Freeson - electric guitar; John DePriest - acoustic guitar/vocals; Dwight - pedal steel; Jack Jones - drums.
The guest vocalists: The DRR + Paris Achenbach + Blake Mogabgab + Colin Davis + Vanessa Niemann.
Thanks so much to everyone who came out and helped make this such a special night!! Let’s make it an annual tradition!

OMG! HOW IS IT ALREADY MID-OCTOBER?!?! I cannot begin to tell all of you how excited I am to show the hard work. Everyone has put into this project. I wanted to do a George Strait tribute show for at least a decade. I’ve learned and grown so much in the process of producing Scared Strait: A Tribute to the Music of George Strait. Thank you to all of the musicians who put in countless hours already and to everybody who’s coming out tomorrow to support us. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go finish making koozies is to sell at this event. Love you, bye!😋
