Fridays for the finish. Pickin late hatch drakes takes some focus and on this one we had like 10 that, outside of that bill, were tough to call on the wing so an extra second to be sure matters. This view with 2 drakes and 10 hens finishing and not 1 suzie hits the dirt is where there’s levels to this game. 9 guns left this hunt with like 20 dead drakes. We probably saw 3000 ducks inside shooting range but the vast majority were brown. #duckinnutts2026 #duckseason #shootdrakes #evenincanada #finishingfriday

When the boys don’t have to pick a drake it gets a little rowdy 😂. Poor ole mud hens and specks got a lot of pent up aggression released on them thanks to 20+ bird volleys of all hen pintails and mallards we watched leave all week #duckinnutts2026 #wackemwednesday #wads #shotkam

Proud Dad alert. My 6 yo decided to go with dad to 🇨🇦 this year to hunt ducks. I wanted him to go last year and he decided 31 hrs one way non stop was enough to keep him home with mama. This year he was all in. Of course his mom got him setup with all the snacks and toys and even a DVD player(watched 2 movies never turned it on again 🥰). He never complained about all the hours on the road the 4 am wakeups and 10pm bed times he kept himself entertained in the blind 2-4 hrs daily. We hit the park daily and had a blast and even though he missed his mama and sister he loved it all. He probably enjoyed missing school the most but as different as this trip looked for me personally it was certainly my most favorite over the last decade. His mom @brit.ashcraft.fit is always the real MVP because she had the ultimate say on him going. #duckinnutts2026 #canada #waterfowl #takeyourkids

That’s a wrap Prarie Canada!! Couldn’t be happier to see GOOD water on the landscape and sky’s full of birds. Wayyyyy bigger crew than I ever like to run but most of these guys have made at least one trip so they understood the grind. 2 hens died in 7 days and we only shot a full drake limit on 2 occasions. Had literally thousands of brown ducks in the decoys over the week and was beyond proud of how 8-9-10 guns daily showed trigger discipline over a pile of egg layers. 7 year bandless stretch up here gotta be pushing 2500 since the last one. The greatest joy I’ve had was my 6yo l baby boy skipped school and learned in memories this week. He has done amazing starting with 30 hr drive non stop to getting less than 5 hrs/night of sleep. Couldn’t be more proud daddy!! #duckinnutts2026 #duckseason #gotocanada #sask #waterfowlers

We still on em. And the first hen of the trip died today and nobody would claim her so I did 😂 @shotkamofficial should confirm. Great time with this crew #duckinnutts2026 #duckseason #diycanada

Baby transition of nothing but feet down green at 15-18 is good for the soul. Another 64 hens don’t get touched just incase hunter harvest actually does matter. Saved em for you “professionals” down south. #duckinnutts2026 #duckseason #pickgreen #incanada #DIY

19 man Arkansas speck limit plus a few bonus green and sprig drakes. Day 3 in Gods country and according to the biologist, hunter harvest doesn’t affect population, but we’ve passed on 200 hens in 3 days and I’d argue if that was happening across all provinces we’d see multiple millions more egg layers!! #duckinnutts2026 #waterfowlers #mallardmonday #gigglechickens #shootdrakes

Did the work this morning and lined a few days up. Got the perfect hide and pretty good wind this afternoon. Anytime you can run 8 guns and shoot 40+ drakes while 1000+ hens decoy and fly away it’s a great day. Sunshine and greenheads is hard to beat. Even got to wack a little cotton #duckinnutts2026 #diy #canada #shootdrakes #lakenlee

Bonus shoot on PM 1….if we were slobs we’d easily have 80 ducks but 97% were brown ones who lit in the decoys and flew away to have babies man it feels good to watch em spin into the @divebombindustries again. Real work starts tomorrow l!! #duckinnutts2026 #canada #waterfowl #henflyfree

Fridays for the finish. The only consistent bird on this trip was the mud hen. And you gotta take what you can get even if it’s these greasy bastards. #duckinnutts2025 #duckseason #notagoosehunter #divebombindustries

So long 🇨🇦 we earned every bird this year averaging just shy of 5 hrs of sleep/night. The continued trend of duck # decline holds true as even the Mecca shows much smaller numbers year/year. Big ole beautiful moon certainly didn’t help. We had a blast and got to see the great people that keep us coming back!! #duckinnutts2025 #duckseason #waterfpwl #thursdaythump #readytoseemyfamily
