Proud to share my latest Midlife in Conversation column: “What If the Thing Holding You Back Isn’t the Whole Truth?”

Sometimes the beliefs we carry about ourselves and what’s possible are only part of the story. With intentional awareness, personal power, adaptability, community, and small brave steps, we can question old beliefs and make room for change.

There is still room to change, to choose, and to grow.

What happens when life doesn’t go according to plan?

In my latest Midlife in Conversation article, I explore how adaptability helps us loosen our grip on what we expected, recalculate and move forward with greater intention. Sometimes, the path we never planned to take becomes the one that transforms us.

Thank you to Pinecrest Community Newspaper for continuing to create space for these meaningful midlife conversations.

Community may be one of the most powerful and often overlooked parts of navigating midlife.

As our roles, relationships, careers, and families evolve, the communities that once formed naturally can begin to change. Yet this is often the very season when feeling seen, supported, and connected matters most.

In my latest Midlife in Conversation article, I explore why meaningful connection can strengthen our resilience, remind us that we are not alone, and help us take Brave Bites Forward™ together.

I’m excited to share my latest article in Miami’s Community Newspapers:

“Midlife in Conversation: Why Community May Be the Missing Piece”

Midlife brings change, sometimes expected, sometimes not. And while so much of personal growth is about looking inward, I’ve come to believe that meaningful transformation rarely happens in isolation.

Community gives us a place to feel seen, supported, challenged, and reminded that we don’t have to figure everything out on our own.

In this article, I explore the role connection and community can play as we navigate change, rediscover ourselves, and decide what we want the next chapter to look like.

Because sometimes, one of the most powerful Brave Bites Forward™ we can take is simply choosing not to take the next step alone.

There are moments that remind me exactly why I do this work.

This message arrived after my client received her final judgment. While divorce marks the end of one chapter, it can also be the beginning of healing, hope, and rediscovering yourself.

Walking alongside women during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives is a privilege I never take for granted.

To my client—thank you for trusting me to help carry you through. Wishing you continued peace, strength, and beautiful new beginnings.

Freedom isn’t just something we celebrate once a year. It’s something we choose.

This Independence Day, I invite you to think beyond fireworks and traditions.

What if freedom looked like…
✨ Letting go of who you thought you had to be.
✨ Setting boundaries without guilt.
✨ Starting over after divorce.
✨ Reinventing your career.
✨ Rediscovering yourself after years of putting everyone else first.

Midlife isn’t the end of your story. It’s your opportunity to write your most authentic chapter yet.

Today, celebrate not only the freedom our country was founded on, but the freedom you have to become the woman you’re meant to be.

What is one thing you’re choosing to set yourself free from this season?

Share it in the comments. I’d love to cheer you on.
