Doors: 19:30
Concert: 20:00

A great audio-visual artist we have in this program is Dennis Scheiba.
Don‘t misse it! 😊

Dennis Scheiba is an audio-visual artist who is interested in critical reflection of technology and its political implications upon society and tries to create new technologies which enable a broader and distributed audience. In his work “Rotating: Perspectives” (2026), rotation allows us to adopt a new angle on an existing perspective. Even if an invariance to the observed object may eventually re-establish itself, something happens in the meantime through our movement that shapes our perception.

Concert series funded by Behörde für Kultur und Medien.

13.05.2026 Hörbar Exchanges II
Dennis Scheiba, Sasha Iliashenko, Jasmine Guffond

Doors: 19:30
Concert: 20:00
Entry: 10–15 €

Hörbar Exchanges series is entering its second round! 📢

On May 13th, we’re reopening the space for local artists to exchange with artists from outside Hamburg – focusing on free improvisation, experimental music and knowledge sharing. Our second event will highlight computer music, featuring Dennis Scheiba, Sasha Iliashenko and Jasmine Guffond!

➪ Dennis Scheiba is an audio-visual artist who is interested in critical reflection of technology and its political implications upon society and tries to create new technologies which enable a broader and distributed audience. In his work “Rotating: Perspectives” (2026), rotation allows us to adopt a new angle on an existing perspective. Even if an invariance to the observed object may eventually re-establish itself, something happens in the meantime through our movement that shapes our perception.

➪ Sasha Iliashenko is an artist and musician working with sound, moving-image and performance. Their music is caricatural and restless, tapping greatly into the physicality of sound in space, repetition and microtonality. Sasha’s sounds draw from a range of club musics like gabber and footwork, complemented by a variety of non-western tonal and rhythmic practices. “Easy Ease” is Sasha Iliashenko’s recent body of work building on the metaphor of interpolation as a multitude of possible transitions between two points.

➪ Jasmine Guffond is an artist, composer and musician investigating the intersection of sound, technology and political infrastructures through live performance, recording and installation. Her live performances encourage deep, embodied listening, exploring sound as a physical force – felt through low-end frequencies and extreme dynamics that range from barely audible, to moments of intense volume. Her primary instrument is a laptop computer in conjunction with midi controllers, MaxMSP and Ableton Live.

Concert series funded by Behörde für Kultur und Medien.

///SCD2025_Artists///

Dennis Scheiba is an audio-visual artist and composer based in Cologne. He is interested in the critical reflection of technology and its political implications for society and aims to create new technologies that enable a broader and more distributed audience.
At Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, he researches open-source software and audio streaming technologies. With a background as a data scientist, he is familiar with the technologies and power behind large datasets and their algorithms as used in A.I. His artistic work seeks to go beyond traditional applications by generating vast examples of A.I.-produced content and by looking behind the curtain of the technology. Prior to his artistic and research activities, he studied mathematics and worked as a data scientist.

His composition “Acceleration”, will be featured as part of the category 'Webscapes'.

PLANO DE FUGA / ESCAPE PLAN
pode ser visitada / is on view
até / until 07.12 @dedicated_lisboa

1. The first moment of the exhibition is made up of two Warburgian panels containing 33 paintings and photographs. This constellation is intended to generate intertextual and symbolic connections, which are activated by memories and concerns of the visitors.

2 + 3. In the upper floor, you will find ‘Dissolution Painting’, a video work created at Wasserschloss Reelkirchen, as part of '24 24' residence, organized in the context of Time-Based Art With Contemporary Technology class by Prof. Echo Ho - UDK Berlin.
This animation was created from a durational performance in which I spent 24 hours painting on a tablet while streaming myself on site and the live video feed of the tablet throughout the entire process. In the end of the 24 hours, the painting was destroyed and what remains is the documentation of the performance. The original soundtrack was improvised live by Echo Ho, Luis Brunner, Leon Eckard and Dennis Scheiba, on the 28th June at Room 19, UDK Medienhaus, in Berlin.
The animation and editing were done by myself.
