Judging by the shoulder-high piles of boxes full of gift wrap and intaglio gift tags shipping out today, it seems that many of you are preparing for the holiday season- most impressive! I’m happy to report that a reorder of the very popular tags is already in progress, so we’ll have plenty on hand for those of us (myself included) who might be a bit late to the holiday prep party. :)

When they’re gone, they’re gone: sorcerer’s mirrors, meander wall brackets and obelisks, companionably hung with antiques from @rebeccachristiemiller and curiosities by @bridierhall , as seen at the fabulous party last evening at Pentreath & Hall. What a joy it was to share in the festivities!

My new Meander wall brackets, in two sizes, on the eve of their introduction. This design came to me while sketching a Greek key/meander plaster ceiling decoration one beautiful afternoon at the @soanemuseum a couple of years ago, and each wooden bracket has been hand-built in Detroit. These will be making their debut at @pentreathandhall as part of our Curiosity Cabinet tomorrow, and on ParvumOpus.com when I return to work next week! Exciting times- more details to come. Please join us at our Rugby Street Showroom on Thursday 15th October, from 6pm - 8pm, to celebrate Parvum Opus’s spectacular collection of ‘Miroirs de Sorciere’ made exclusively for Pentreath & Hall. The publication of ‘The Bible of British Taste: Issue no. 5’. And launching Kasmins’s Postcards latest edition ‘Choice’. Including a smattering of Curiosities sourced by resident antiques dealer, Rebecca Christie-Miller and made by me, Bridie.
On Saturday 17th October, from 11am to 5pm, Erika Stefanutti of Parvum Opus and I will be opening the Rugby Street Showroom, come and meet the maker and see her incredible mirrors.

Obelisks, of course. A special collection exclusively for Pentreath & Hall- when they’re gone, they’re gone. Conceived by the ancient Egyptians as petrified sun rays, they’re one of my favorite things to build. These new variations, beautifully photographed by @katybeveridge are among the collection of curiosities debuting at P&H next week.
