Fazoletti with Wye Valley asparagus and cacio e pepe back in June❤️ Leigh and Alexander had so many special touches to share with their 120 guests. On arrival we served popcorn with champagne, and a bread table piled high with house focaccia, ciabatta, sourdough loaves, butter towers, balsamic vinegar and EVOO. After their ceremony outside, a string quartet played during canapé service of devilled Cornish crab, gnocco fritto with prosciutto and honey, and broad bean and ricotta crostini. Meal highlights to share were poached @chalk_stream trout with tarragon mayonnaise followed by slow roasted @swaledalebutchers shoulder of lamb and salsa verde. Sides of @fairyhill.marketgarden salad and carrots with confit garlic and oregano. A glorious cheese tower dripping with fruit and served with our pickles, bread and rye crackers was enjoyed, and dessert was a huge dark chocolate mousse with jersey cream and grated chocolate that we were all to excited about to capture on camera. Pizza Romana of both ‘nduja and honey, and scamorza and pesto with cacio pepe dip later onto keep those dancing feet going - what a wedding! ❤️

Maybe today or one weekday soon you could get yourself down to @sonnystores for a few plates of pasta to share (Pasta Pronto!) and make sure you order the focaccia to scoop up anything left on your plate. And then you'd be a fool not to have one of each pudding please and thank you so much.
Our Chianti and Radicchio risotto with walnuts, Spinach Ravioli, Anchovy Tagliorini and San Marzano Tomato Spaghetti were all £8-£12 per plate, which anyone would say is insanely good value.
You could also ask the lovely owner @pegsquinn to take a cute picture of the table and if you're lucky he might leave you a selfie in your camera roll.

Slow cooked leeks, ricotta and anchovies to share for Kate and Alex and their 40 guests @theforgebristol. Guests were greeted with canapés of italian fennel sausage rolls with apple and prune ketchup, devilled Cornish crab gem cups, and taleggio arancini. Other starters with our house focaccia were peach, fennel and almond salad and burrata with @honest_toil. Mains of roasted chicken diavolo with crispy crushed jersey royals and aioli, courgettes with garlic and tarragon and @fairyhill.marketgarden salad leaves with cider vinaigrette and toasted seeds before our amaretto tiramisu for dessert. Evening food later on for 70 guests of taleggio, cheddar and sage toasties with apple and prune ketchup and fried celeriac with gochujang sauce and cucumber bread and butter pickles. A day full of joy and warmth and much photographed food thanks to @gem_hicks_photography! 🙏

A lot of you have been asking about our delicious shrubs and cordials that we serve in the cafe, so we thought we’d put some faces to the Pasetti and Boote names!

Max and Steph run Bristol’s foremost, fancies and most delicious catering company from here in Bristol. Employing a supergroup Bristol’s hospitality alumna (notably our Picky Bits Zoe and Carpenter Brian) to feed the rich and the famous, and us! Here the icons are dropping in a fresh batch for our fridge!

With enough interest we could certainly consider stocking some addition bottles on our pending retail shelves…

3 belters 🍒 🍋 🌿 1. Spiced cherry shrub made with @wildingcider vinegar and Herefordshire cherries. This little batch flew out but we saved a bottle for our tastings in November. 2. Summer oxymel with fennel flowers from @fairyhill.marketgarden and @lazuliremedies, sage from @cecilia__mignon patch, lemons and Welsh honey and 3. Rutland elderberry cordial which I recruited my mum to help harvest. Over 10kg of these tiny, ripe little berries for only 22 bottles, but worth it. All so very different, all so very delicious! You can try them all at the usual spots 💦

A well coordinated wedding isn’t one where absolutely nothing goes wrong.

It’s one where you and your guests have absolutely no idea that it did 😂

Timings change. Suppliers need answers. Things need moving, finding, fixing or quietly rearranging behind the scenes.

The difference is having someone there who already knows the plan, can make decisions and keep everything moving without bringing every little problem to you.

Because as far as you and your guests are concerned?

Everything just… worked. 🤍

That’s exactly how it should feel.

Save this as your reminder that a wedding running smoothly doesn’t necessarily mean nothing went wrong - it usually means someone was dealing with it.

Table details for last weekends wedding. Congratulations B and W. They wanted pops of red in their colour palette so we used tomatoes, currents and strawberries to add that pop. Loved using fruit and veg for this one.

A pasta course of @westcombe ricotta ravioli with walnut brown butter and parmesan for Caroline and Matt and their 70 guests at the incredible Lost Music Hall. We are always delighted to be back here ❤️ Swipe through for the full menu - highlights were asparagus toasts with herb mayonnaise, and devilled crab gem cup canapés. Also aubergine shnitzel with sweet tomato sauce and ricotta salata as a delicious vegetarian main and ricotta doughnuts with jersey cream and Cheddar strawberries seved standing outside at twilight with cocktails and limoncello - heavenly! Meanwhile, we turned the room and the dancing commenced, powered by our taleggio and sage toasties 💃 Thanks so much to our FOH team member @naoiseokeeffe for these pics ❤️

Madison, you were truly a dream bride! 💫

Dream brief, dream skin, dreamy bronzey bridal tones with the most gorgeous aesthetic.

Our story: Madison flew in from Canada only days before her wedding. We hadn’t had a call and only met 4 days before her wedding day, at her intimate preview trial, which was such a lovely morning curating her personal look together. From the moment I met Madison, we were aligned perfectly. She just knew what she wanted, and I worked to bring her vision to life. She trusted me fully, understood my signature style, knowingly booked me for that reason, and let me tailor that style to her favourite features and her personal aesthetic.

This led to us creating something truly stunning. A glowing, bronzed look that brought her surfer glow to life, enhancing those sunkissed tones and bringing them up into the face. Glowing, soft features, eyes that pop but still feel sultry.

And hair with soft volume and bounce, but still feeling like an elevated, softer version of her usual beachy hair. Floaty, bouncy and effortless, which came together perfectly with her choice of both veils and the transition into her evening look. I had such a wonderful time with Madison and her girls on the wedding morning. What a celebration 🤍

Madison & Nico really know how to throw a party, with the very talented @desirataweddings bringing that vision to life.
