POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As the days have grown shorter and the outdoor dancing has truly wound down, I've been reflecting on rest a little bit more. I'm trying my best to reconnect with some less stimulating activities, so I decided to turn to @basscoastfest footage for inspiration.

What are some of your favorite Fall activities, when you aren't dancing it up in the club?

Counting down the days until we see each other on the dancefloor <3

An incredibly spent July. Leveled up in my sound career, got to see many friends perform their asses off over 2 festivals, and some downtime in the middle with my love.

I’m so fortunate to be able to throw sound at two of the most iconic festivals in Canada. Every year gets better with these teams, can’t wait until 2027 💪

Tomorrow we air our final episode of the Umbral monthly mix series. For those of you who have hosted or are currently hosting radio shows, you know it’s labour of love. We couldn’t be more grateful for the energy @passage_sound & @gremmah_dubs have given this series over the last 4 years.

To all the artists that have contributed mixes- THANK YOU!we’re so excited these will live on within our SoundCloud page (soundcloud.com/umbralsound). So many mixes to get you through the longest of days.

Tomorrows episode features 2 very special guests; the perfect bow to wrap up this series:

@greymoonmusic has graciously provided a mix all the way from the beautiful Kootenay area. Always curated with intention, one of our favourite things about a Grey Moon mix is the story they tell. Incredible soulful selections to take you on a beautiful journey through tempos.

& of course, @passage_sound - Queen of sultry bass music with a focus on feminine energy. In just 3 weeks time we get a special 2 hour early morning set from Passage at @basscoastfest - so tune in for a sneak peek 👀

These 2 selectors will provide the perfect soundtrack to your summer solstice Sunday. Open your window, listen to the rainfall, and tune into sub.fm online or via the app for our final show tomorrow at 4pm MST.

Thank you all for listening 💜

This past long weekend Edmonton was blessed to have some of Bass Coast’s finest selectors come thru for our pre party!

Local icons @tinykeekz and @passage_sound went back to back making us all wiggle our butts, @marah_irl took us on a multigenre ride, and @westerleymusic on the deep n dark kick!

These were the sounds of dub that I discovered and loved when I first started getting into the scene yeaaars ago, big ups to the selectas for keeping it alive and evolving! All four of these artists will be playing this year so make sure you add them to your schedule and check them out, you don’t wanna miss them, I promise, scouts honour ✋

As a producer, his original music has gained recognition and has been played live and on radio by some of the most respected artists in the dubstep/bass music community. All the baddies love dubstep 💅🏻 We’re so excited to welcome @marah_irl for her Edmonton debut

Join us this Sunday, May 17th at Club 97 for the @basscoastfest Pre Party (chance to win 2 tix to the fest!)

Vancouver’s own MARAH is quickly emerging as one of the most exciting names in electronic music, known for her genre-bending productions of Dubstep, Trap, and Techno, paired with high-energy, boundary-pushing performances.

Following a breakout touring year in 2024, MARAH supported Hamdi on both his U.S. Showcase Tour and Western Canada Tour, further expanding her presence across major markets throughout North America. Her growing festival resume includes performances at Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Bass Coast, Fvded in the Park, and a standout appearance with DEF at Hulaween Music Festival.

With support from influential artists such as Sicaria, Notion, EPROM, Hamdi, and more, MARAH continues to gain recognition from both fans and industry tastemakers alike, carving out a lane of her own and positioning herself at the forefront of the next wave of electronic music.

So basically, if you’re not paying attention to MARAH’s journey- we’ll see you at the club!

Your Umbral reps & @basscoastfest alumni- @tinykeekz & @passage_sound 👑

If you missed the b2b these 2 did last year- you’re in for a treat! The perfect blend of thick bass & feminine influence in beautiful call & response harmony.

Passage is an established DJ and producer from Edmonton, Canada. Making connections on the decks as much as she
does on the dance floor, her sound creates balance with paradox - sustained by a foundation of deep bass and rolling breaks.

tiny keekz (fka keekz) has built a foundation balancing intricate drums, booty-shaking bass, and powerful feminine energy in every performance.

These 2 seamlessly flow through tempos, so no genre is off limits. If it makes you shake your ass, it’s probably in the playlist 😉

Still some tickets left! Ease out of May Long Weekend this Sunday, May 17th at Club 97! Did we mention you have a chance to win 2 tix to @basscoastfest?

Visit www.umbralsound.ca to secure yours.
