Louisville musician who loves to collect vinyl. Account dedicated to showing my favorite records, and most prized vinyl. Trying for 1 post a week.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I cannot verbally express just how much fun I had on tour with SOR. Straight peak for 8 straight days throughout all of our stops whether we were fighting heat or not. It was simply spectacular getting to know all of my band mates better and it couldn’t have been any better. From Louisville to Niagara Falls this may have been the best week of my life. GIVE ME SOME POST-TOUR KNUCK

The Wytches ‘Self Titled’ (2014)

I found this band from England through my brother a couple of years ago. I really like the retro sound of there music mixed with modern alternative lyrics! A very cool style for sure! And check out the sick artwork on this as well! 🤟🏻

Friday Music Challenge Theme: Your Most Unusual Vinyl Record
Hosted by: @patricksrec_collec. I'm sharing this @petshopboys
UK Baktabak BAK2064 12 inch Picture Disc.Copyright © – Tabak Marketing Ltd.
• Manufactured For – Baktabak
‎‎▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ A real gem since it' s a bootleg which
includes an interview from 1987. The interview begins suddenly, with no formal introduction by either the interviewer or by Pet shop Boys . Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe discussed the production of Please, the pleasure of remixing songs for Disco, and their upcoming album at that time " Actually" Wow!! 😍😍🤩 The only drawback is that the interview has a poor audio quality.
How did I get this awesome record? In a vinyl raffle organized by one of my vinyl dealers @dj_alexis_peru during our last xmas vinyl collectors meet up.Thanks Alexis .This is a total gem!!💎

First post on this page in awhile. I’ll have to get back to more regularly posting.

My good friend @patricksrec_collec is hosting this week’s #fridaymusicchallenge and the theme is “Most Unusual Record In your Collection”. I would have to say the most unusual I have is this Edison Diamond Disc featuring Conway’s Band on Side A performing “Tenth Regiment March” and Side B “Kiluura- Hawaiian Patrol”.

This and another of the Edison records came to be in my possession through inheriting a collection from my uncle who inherited a friend’s collection after his passing. These play at 78 RPM although I’ve read that the intended speed varies as these discs were a new product for Edison after years of releasing music on cylinders.

Thanks to @grooves.andneedles and @fridaymusicchallenge for letting my buddy host this.

I finished reading this excellent biography on Blue Note records, one of my favorite record labels ever. The entire story of the label is totally 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙩!

Besides learning more about the personal lives of the musicians and the struggles of the label (for years it was run essentially by two guys) throughout its existence one of my favorite parts was listening to the records while the book was discussing the making of them! I learned a lot and have a much greater appreciation for this music 💙

The picture I made includes some of my favorite Blue Notes (so far) 🩵 (see comments for albums included)

❀ If you also like to read and listen to music, feel free to share your pairings with #pagesandplastic ☺️📖🎶 ❀
