“Your weirdness is your superpower”

This next wisdom comes from my wonderful Brazilian friend, Patsy, who talks about something she’s learned over time. The things we may see as “weird” or “different” about ourselves are actually the things that make us unique. These quirks, the bits that don’t fit the mould, are our superpowers. And when we embrace them, instead of trying to smooth them away, we not only live more authentically, we live a life worth living.

I first me Patsy back in 2010 when she was working at ActionAid and I was making films for them. I liked her straight away. She has a radiant, positive energy and says things exactly as they are. She’s also an incredibly creative PR guru, and I’ve always loved working with her.
